Went to Costco Heritage location for a cellphone plan upgrade. I was the only customer at the desk department and still had a hard time to keep Mr. A. engaged. He was leaning back to the desk and didn't bother to come closer and continued to talk from a 4-5 ft distance between us! (Oh I think i should thank you because at least he turned his head toward me while we were talking).
I think it took me 5-7 min that eventually i was at the point that I should pull the plug and don't waste my time.
I normally love Costco and have never had any issues but after what happened to me yesterday I have To share my experience.
As I entered the store with my 2 month old daughter in her stroller I was not approached by an employee but I was bellowed at (in front of huge lineups filled with customers) with " EXCUSE ME, EXCUSE ME" I thought is he shouting that at me?! As I turned my head around he yelled ( again, infront of about 100 customers, not exaggerating) " do you have unpaid merchandise in there ?!" Looking at my stroller I say " her diaper bag??!!" Then he says "just checking" then I continue to get my items and I'm in the checkout now to pay and another cashier says to me " they are going to want to check your bag at the door" again my daughters diaper bag!!
I hve never been so humiliated mortified and angry in my entire life !
I left Costco shaking mad , not only is it hard enough trying to go out with a new born baby in tow but to be treated like a thief is just pure humiliating! And I think I deserve an apology!
The pharmacy staff is terrible. They completely lied that a product was out of stock. (I found out they had done this when a pharmacy staff member working at another costco who also worked at this pharmacy told us the item was in stock.) Not only that, but they didn't say anything about them placing an order and needing to come back. Despite that orders come in on weekdays, they still should have provided enough medication to last the weekend, especially because they had enough in stock.
I've been a member for over a decade and have bought not only groceries there but many of there house hold appliances ect there as well. They are always the best brands and have the highest standerds for thier merchandise. There are 3 things in my opinion that someone looks for when shopping in a store like this - Quality, Price and Selection, Cost-Co has the first two in spades and while it does lack in selection if the products that you want are there, why buy anywhere else?

Bulk Everything, Food, Clothing Etc
They also usually have a good deal on TV's & Electronics
Cons
You need a membership, there are a few other places that offer similiar ideas but no memberships.
Good If you have a large family or you are looking to make some big item purchases. Long lines however are sometimes not worth the wait
