While many custom tattoo parlours specialize in one or two tattooing techniques, Immaculate Concept boasts a roster of 13 artists, each with his or her own specialty. So whether it’s a first tattoo or number 10, Immaculate Concept artists ensure that you leave with a one-of-a-kind inking that you’ll love. “Every artist has a different style and you should always pick your tattoo artist for their style,” explains owner Steve Peace, adding that his own personal specialties are realism and pin-up images.
Steve opened up the 17th Avenue Southwest shop nearly two decades ago when he says tattoos were becoming more mainstream. Subsequent expansions have made it Calgary’s largest tattoo shop. Piercing services are also offered Thursday through Monday.
The shop’s upper level features a cozy waiting area adjacent to a jam-packed room housing the majority of the shop’s tattooing stations. Each artist’s station is decorated with personal touches such as a vintage Star Wars lunchbox and a collection of colourful sugar skulls. Steve is partial to Judas Priest posters, which are hung throughout the parlour. He encourages his artists to hone their design skills by painting on canvas so an assortment of semi-finished paintings is also on display.Apprenez-en davantage sur Immaculate Concept
