Myth Games

While enjoying Dungeons & Dragons and other role-playing games in high school, Cory Fliegel dreamed of one day owning his own game store. That dream that came true in 2007 when he opened Myth Games in Calgary. “Business has been better than I had expected,” says Cory. “Retail is always a tough grind, but if you can get through the first few years, it seems to go the way it should.”

Cory credits his loyal customers for his success. “We have an absolutely fantastic group of people that call Myth Games their gaming home,” he says. “Without them we wouldn’t be here. They are not just customers, but a part of our community.”

No need to be intimidated if you are new to the world of fantasy games, minis or RPG – the crew at Myth Games makes everyone feel welcome. Each “minion” (as the staff members are called) has a specialty and can walk newcomers through the ins and outs of the in-depth strategy games.
