The impossibly delicious smelling Neal’s Yard Remedies (NYR) opened its doors in Calgary’s Mission district in 2014. Its the flagship Canadian shop for the London, England-based skin and body care company. “I lived in the UK for several years and fell in love with Neal’s Yard Remedies," says Neal’s Yard Remedies Canada CEO Lisa Costello. "I thought it was the best thing to come to the skincare industry ever. I moved back to Calgary and I wasn’t able to find anything here that I wanted to put on my skin. I wanted a skincare product that had really good ingredients and did amazing things with my skin. After being unable to find anything that matched NYR’s qualities, I called up their head office to talk to them about bringing the brand to Canada.”
Stocking certified organic essential oils from France, NYR’s natural skin, body and hair products are produced sustainably. The company works directly with its farmer suppliers including African women's cooperatives.
The knowledgeable and helpful staff at the Calgary shop include licensed nutritionists and holistic practitioners who are fully trained in the use of herbal remedies.
