Not everyone works in a fairy world, but Marika Styba feels as if she has that privilege in her flower shop. Peaseblossoms is located in the historic 102-year-old Brigden Block in Connaught. Named after a fairy in Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, Peaseblossoms is a small, charming and florally fragrant hollow that has all the sweet whimsy one would associate with such a character.
After working part-time for six years while a student, Marika bought the business from its original owner in 2006. “I loved that it was whimsical and special and had a different perspective on the floral industry,” she says. Marika stresses that her shop operates independently from wire services that handle out-of-town flower orders and set standards and rules for floral boutiques. “We really enjoy that sense of autonomy,” says Marika. “It gives us the ability to make really thoughtful decisions about where we source our flowers and what we do with them.”Apprenez-en davantage sur Peaseblossoms Ltd
