“I’ve always had a passion for games, that’s why I got into this business…I wanted cheap games for myself,” laughs Gordon Johansen, owner of Sentry Box. “That’s why we got into science fiction as well; we had some extra space when we moved one time, so I thought, ‘ok, what do I like? Oh, I read a lot of science fiction, so I’m going to bring a lot of these in and save myself some money!’”

Since he bought the original tiny 250 sq ft. shop from a non-gamer in 1980, Gordon’s passion for games has built a community of gamers of all genres, which supports what has since become the world’s largest game store.

“It really freaks people out when you say over 100,000 different products,” admits Gordon. The 13,000 sq ft store truly has something, if not everything, for every gamer. If you’re anything like Gordon and his team, you likely enjoy many of the various types of games, so no matter how you define yourself within the genre, Sentry Box can satisfy your gaming passion.

For those who want to try before you buy, Sentry Box also boasts a large games library, so you can play in the store or sign games out and take them home to see if your friends will play with you.

    Sentry box is the place to go for all your gaming needs. We have purchased all our MTG cards there and will continue to do so. Great selection for a wide variety of products.
