Dr. Smadych worked as a general dentist in Russia since 1993. She moved to Calgary in 2002. Alena earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Dalhousie in Nova Scotia, and moved back to Calgary to practice dentistry. Dr. Smadych frequently attends continuing education courses and seminars on various aspects of dentistry such as: implants, orthodontics and invisalign, and is continuously looking for ways to increase her knowledge of the industry.
