Our RM trip was one of a lifetime for our 40th anniversary thanks to Tom Ockelton! We simply cannot say enough about him. His kindness, friendliness, helpfulness, knowledge and 18 years with the company helped us plan the perfect vacation. We planned a two week trip through the Canadian Rockies with numerous custom changes. We first contacted Rocky Mountaineer to make our plans, but decided to check with another agency as well so we called Rocky Mountain Holidays. We chose Rocky Mountain Holidays because of their agent Tom Ockelton.
All the additions, deletions and other changes we wanted to make to our trip were handled easily by Tom. He always responds immediately to phone calls and emails. He usually answers when you call. W
My son and I took this trip to celebrate my 70th and 35th birthdays. We had the best time in our life so far. Our agent Mr. Tom Ockelton planed the trip for us. He is a wonderful guy, every thoughtful, every knowledgeable and very sweet! I love Canada! So beautiful! I will recommend him to all my friends and I plan to take more trips in Canada and I’m 100% sure I will call Tom again!
Great trip - Tom immensely helped us in our plans, he was easy to contact and ready with answers to all of our questions. He helped us to feel at ease about traveling to Canada and all of his suggestions made our trip run smoothly.
The service and commitment from Tom Ockelton at Rocky Mountain Holidays was second to none. Friendly, helpful and always keen to answer any queries. The holiday was postponed due to Covid shutdown but rebooking was handled seamlessly.

We learned of Tom Ockelton & Rocky Mountain Holidays from watching a YouTube video a previous traveler had done. We contacted Tom and from that initial moment until we arrived home from our trip he was like having our own private concierge. He was of great assistance in planning our whole itinerary, making suggestions of what to do, what to avoid, what weather to expect, and how to make the very most of our dream trip. He listens attentively, and is very responsive by email, phone, and text.
I used RMH to book our trip on Rocky Mountaineer and found them (Tom Ockelton) to be extremely helpful. Questions and requests for help were answered quickly whether via email or phone. I would not consider booking a trip like this again without RMH. They were especially helpful navigating the issues with US to Canada travel which caused the rescheduling of our trip from 2020 to 2021.
Vancouver - Jasper the train trip was amazing and the service, well what can you say - impeccable! We were so impressed how everything just ran like a well oiled machine from embarkation to the hotel buses each evening, amazed at the quality of the foods that was being served from that minute kitchen, and the way we were looked after all day. A truly wonderful and memorable experience.

The Rocky Mountaineer was absolutely superb, the meals, the views, the commentary, the history, the comfort and the ride, the on board staff and of course our fellow travellers. This is truly a journey everyone should make the effort to experience, you will never regret it, we certainly didn’t. The Alaskan Cruise, Inside Passage, was more than what my wife and I had expected. The memories of this trip will last forever as will the friendships we made along the way.
The Rocky Mountain Holidays team organised a superb holiday for myself and my wife and some close friends who live in Canada. Coming from NZ I relied heavily on the RMH team for their advice and to make all the arrangements. Despite the complexity of the arrangements the whole trip worked perfectly thanks to RMH organisation and to the many service people involved. Everything went extremely well and we had a holiday of a lifetime. Thanks RMH, we hope to return to Canada one day.

What can I say regards the scenery, Awesome, Fantastic, Stunning, words and photos can never do justice to what you see.
As for the train, well we have never experienced anything like it. The whole experience is just so special from the moment you arrive at the station to the departure. The train itself is so comfortable. I have a bad back and cant normally sit for too long in one position, but I had no problem at all whilst on this trip.
I cant thank Rocky Mountain Holidays and our consultant Tom Ockleton enough for the awesome self drive and Rocky Mountaineer Train itinerary he put together for us. A truly memorable 5 star holiday staying at beautiful hotels with a number of great excursions included. Well be back and definitely using rockymountainholidays.com
Nothing but accolades for Rocky Mountain Holidays! They provide excellent service and their attention to detail is beyond expectation. This trip was a 50th anniversary celebration and they made us feel like royalty! The scenery is breathtaking, the meals are gourmet, the hosts and hostesses on the rail cars are friendly and knowledgeable. We loved every minute of our trip.
