Hair Art Academy was founded in 1994 by Elke Tobisch-Ross. Trained in both Canada and abroad, Elke, a successful stylist in her own right, has owned her own studios & maintains an active and loyal client base today. She has experienced firsthand the advantages of a transportable skill. After selling her salon, she took time to travel and has worked in Germany, Morocco & other countries. Coming back to Canada & re-establishing her own salon she was frustrated by the lack of skilled stylists coming out of training programs & found she had to re-train them on the job. That frustration & her sympathy for the new stylists motivated her to start her own training facility that offers the king of comprehensive training you would find in Europe or any other top training facility in the world.
