A-1 Trade & Loan is a pawnshop that actually cares for its customers and their valuables. Mark the owner always help out. A-1 will appreciate the value of your merchandise over and above any other pawnshop here in Metro Vancouver. Mark himself always goes the extra mile to help me out. The people at A-1 pawnshop are kind and helpful people that offer service that you can really rely on.
A-1 is my favorite pawnshop. Been to others nothing compares to the customer service, good deals, cleanliness etc.. I've been a customer for over 20 years and Mark always makes sure I leave happy. I purchase all my family's electronics here from Cell phones to headphones to video games it's a one stop shop at awesome prices! His dad next door has given me the best prices on all my jewelry over the years. Good people come check them out
They feed their family with the money made from humanity's misery and desperation. 2 years ago I was absolutely destitute. I borrowed money from this pawn shop with my fathers gold ring as collateral. I made a mistake and realized I was over the due date by two weeks. I called to tell them I was coming, they told me that my ring was gone. A $5000 ring and I borrowed $300. I still can't sleep at night thinking about it. This is what you do with your UBC diploma? Shameful.

We were disappointed to learn that your pawn loan was liquidated. Even after the pawn loan had expired, if we had known that you had full intentions of redeeming it, we would have worked out a plan with you to reach a positive resolution. We value the relationship with you as well as all of our customers over and above any particular item. We do hold all of our pawn loans for a period of 90 days even if no payments are made. However, if the customer has extenuating circumstances, we do understand that even 90 days might not be sufficient enough to reclaim the pawn loan. When those circumstances arise, we recommend contacting us to work out a plan together to reach a positive conclusion. Unfortunately, if 90 days lapses and we do not receive any communication, we will be under the impression that the customer has no further interest in reclaiming their pawn loan. The circumstances that lead to your item's liquidation were unfortunate. We hope that we can put this in the past and earn the opportunity to work with you once more. |
A1 has a great selection of electronic goods and excellent customer service. The only place I go to for video games for a loan. Mark always does his best to make sure I leave happy. Very professional and personable service. I would happily recommend any friend or family to A-1.
I've been dealing with them for years, never had a problem. Always let me be a little late with my stuff until recently when I was one and a half months over due on some jewelry that a family friend had custom made for me, instead of calling me or holding it they had it melted down. 7 years I've been dealing with them, always paid, always cleared up my debts with them and they wouldn't even wait an extra few weeks for me to come and get it. My friend has now passed away and I have a great job so will not need them anymore. Just be warned they put money and greed ahead of keeping good customers! I'll be going elsewhere for anything I could buy there, such short sighted and greedy people! At least my friend will never find out that I pawned his jewelry! :(

We have been working with you for many years and we value the relationship with you as well as all of our customers over and above any particular item. We will hold all of our pawn loans for a period of 90 days. In your case, based on you excellent credit rating, even though the 90 days had expired, we had held your jewellery in our safe for an additional 63 days. After 153 days without you contacting us and without knowing the history of the item, we were under the impression that you had no further interest in redeeming this loan. The circumstances that lead to this item’s liquidation is very unfortunate. We hope that we can put this in the past and provide us the opportunity to earn your business once more.
A1 is my favorite pawnshop overall pawnshops I been to my friends some family all go there too buy sell pawn, loan it has high quality products I highly recommend this pawnshop if you want to be treated fairly and a fair price on paying back loans and getting back pawned goods they can hold stuff up to 3 months its awesome place

Its not what you expect. Do not let the loan part of the name deter anyone from visiting A1. The staff products are exceptional. I found myself in a very difficult situation one day. I was really tight for cash. I visited A1 and needed to borrow $150. All I had was an Xbox 360 with 2 ok games. My paycheck would be arriving soon, so all I need was a loan for one week. I asked the tellers to borrow $150, but was disappointed to find out that the going rate for Xbox's these days are around $80. Nevertheless, I described why I needed the money and promised them that I would be back in a week to pick up. I was very impressed when the tellers empathised with me and took me to my word. I was not able to borrow $150 but $130 instead. $50 more than the going rate. Being a man of my word, I came back and picked up the item five days after, as soon as my cheque came in. What a great shop. Most other pawnshops would tell me to get lost, while A1 really helped me out.
