Mike has been servicing our Miele and Subzero appliances for a number of years. He is very knowledgeable about appliances and is in a position to deal with high end units. We are kept well informed of wait time for replacement parts. We find him to be a pleasure to deal with and know from a mutual acquaintance that he is very generous to folk less fortunate than him.
Rude and blunt; we asked him to look at dishwasher used by tenant who is a scientist who works from home and he advised he doesnt do rentals. The tenant has cash to pay and he was there previously with no issues!
I called Mike Shaw to book an appointment to install a fridge, oven, dishwasher, dryer, and clothes washer. He didnt like the brand I purchased, so insulted me by saying that I wasted my money on junk. Unprofessional and rude, do not waste your time by calling him.
Did a great job on our Bosch dishwasher recall repair. Was prompt, courteous, kept us informed about the part. He did a good, quick job on the repair and went "above and beyond" to place the electrical connection in the correct location. Thanks
Unprofessional, rude and aggressive! He lashes out at people for no reason!extremely disappointing behavior and manners! I do not recommend his services to anyone. We were informed that we are not the first ones who experienced his rude behavior! I would have gave him Zero if I could! I have never experienced such an unprofessional person in my whole life!
Ten minutes and $160 later my washer switch was replaced. Any believe how much he charged me!!!!
Called and the guy was a total jerk! Tried to explain my dryer problem but wouldn't listen long enough to understand that the dryer was not a rental - but in a rented flat. He clearly does rental flats as mentioned in another review here.
Fridge/freezer stopped working; he diagnosed and repaired in less than an hour (service time). He was able to determine compressor was still good. He went and bought part (relay switch) on his own time not mine. He saved me from throwing out refrigerator and buying a new one..total bill $163
I received outstanding service from thiis company. Mike arrived within a day of my initial call and was on time. He did a thorough review of the dryer and couldn't find a problem with it other than possible overloading. (It's a rental unit so I didn't have personal experience with the dryer). And he didn't charge me for the call, which I still can't believe. I would call him in a minute for future appliance issues. Great service!
Shaw's was a no-nonsense solution to our problem. The technician arrived on time for the service appointment, 24-hours after my initial call. He fixed our broken portable dishwasher for $75+parts and labour, $95 all in. I was wary of some reviews of the large maritime appliance repair shop that has monopoly on much of the market. I went with the "little guy" and was 100% happy I did. If any other appliance breaks, I'm calling these guys again.
