P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, located at 536 Merigomish Road, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, is owned and operated by brothers, Peter K. MacDonald and E. Kirk MacDonald. They began their funeral service careers in the mid 80's with a local area funeral home, Kirk in 1985 and Peter in 1986. They left the employ of the local funeral director on August 23, 1990 and in September 1990 while travelling to a prospective job interview decided to open their own funeral home. The funeral home opened on Saturday, August 21, 1993.
