Had a great meal over the Thanksgiving Long Weekend. Portions were well sized and the service was professional. Would definitely recommend a visit when in Collingwood. It is a little tricky to find but worth the effort.
We were looking forward to visiting the (then) currently ranked #2 restaurant on restaurantica - but found the experience very mediocre. Tables jammed close together (maybe due to some remodeling taking place) - the bruschetta tasted like it had pre-chopped garlic from a jar (that bitter taste) - crust on the pizza was a bland whitebread variety. We went for lunch so it wasn't as expensive as the dinner menu - but it still wasn't cheap.
Nice atmosphere in the evening, cozy and small. Our service was okay. I asked for butter for my bread 4 times and never did get butter, and I found our server to be kinda snobby and unfriendly. The food was excellent.
We go here about once a week and have for a few years. Pizza is awesome and the perfect size to split between two people. Salad and soup is always delicious. My husband always gets the mussels. It is crowded and I hate it when people stand and chat with the door open in the winter. Other than that, no complaints. Oh, and the fetticine carbonara is out of this world -- big enough for two people.
We enjoyed our dining experience at this little restaurant. Even though it was packed, the service was just as good as the food which was terrific. See you next year!!!
The thing about this restaurant is its consistency. Over and over and over we have enjoyed our dining experience at Tesoro. We know the food will be good and we will looked after by a pleasant, efficient server.
This bustling little restaurant serves up amazingly fine food. Everything is prepared on site and is fresh and delicious. Everybody is friendly and helpful. We always have a great time there.
The place was packed. Our waitress took very good care of us. We had a great time on our night out in Collingwood!
I had dinner with my charming 9 year old daughter. Although the restaurant was very busy, our waitress took good care of us and made our night out together lots of fun.
Our group gets together for dinner quite often usually in Toronto. We chose Tesoro by reviews as well as recommended by locals. The food was good it wasn't mind blowing, generous poetions. The crab cakes were very dry. Soup was great and mains were satisfying. The service was lacking a few things, friendliness and attentiveness to detail. When we arrived we sat and waited about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We had to flag a server down to order a drink. We asked about wines which the server didn't know about so she went to find someone who did another 5 minutes. It's a very small restaurant, I was sitting at the end of the table and got bumped more then once by servers walking by with no apologies. We ordered our food the server didn't write it down and had to come back and ask us again. When our food did arrive, the server didn't do a table check (my apps were terrible). I didn't have a chance to tell her and I ended up paying for it even though I didn't eat it. Main courses took awhile but there was only one chef with an assistant working. When the mains did arrive, a few of us had no cutlery and with no check back by the server or manager, we waited, again to eat. The server's didn't smile or have good manners. Upon leaving, not one person working said goodnight or thankyou. It's this attention to detail and value to customers that make us return to a restaurant. Not sure if we'd go back.
This is a very fun restaurant with the open kitchen and friendly, helpful staff. We try to stop in for dinner when we are in Collingwood.
We really enjoy this restaurant. Our problem is that it is becoming so popular it is very hard to get in. I guess everybody likes their good service and fine food all at reasonable prices.

This restaurant reflects most of the out standing reviews it has received! We went there during the week, the restaurant was busy with a warming environment! As you walk in the door you can smell fantastic food cooking and friendly smiles form the staff. The quality and taste of the food was fabulous! If you love pasta this is the restaurant FOR YOU!

Crab cakes were outstanding! Salmon was incredible, and pasta was perfection. Loved the open concept kitchen. Amazed by the efficiency and quality of service (despite having a full dining room). We will definately return.
We enjoyed our lunch. It was our first time at this restauant. It will not be our last now that we have moved to town.
The place was packed but the food and service were excellent. The whole evenung was mighty fine. Look forward to returning.
The beer was cold, the service friendly and prompt, Tony the chef personalized our order. My wife and I both had verde salads. Just the right amount of dressing on lovely green lettuce. Our chickem parms were tender and juicy, a reminder of the times we ate at Old Angelo's in Toronto. My wife had the pasta with hers and I was able to have garlic mashed with mine. All in all, a lovely evening in a terrific restaurant. We will deinitely return.
