James Vanderbeek movie filmed here...

The best Chinese food ive ever had, and the soda bar is adorable as a great place to stop for a cold drink. Even the film industry thought this place had a great atmosphere cuz they filmed a Vanderbeek movie right in the restaurant. We won't eat Chinese food anywhere else!

Not much bad about it...

It's very good food wise, I got "combo 2" which was chicken balls, fried rice with noodles and en egg roll... Not too shabby for about 7.25$ However I didn't dine in because it wasn't appealing, not somewhere I want to be for a long time. Also service is good, they're friendly, but the trouble of having to walk across town because you have no cash is quite frusterating. All in all very good

Been going for years and years...

It's called Black and White but us locals know it as Chuck's. I have ate nothing in there for years and years other than the "Special" that is offered for $7.95 or around that price. You get 4 chicken balls, chow mein, rice and an egg roll. It's quite tasty and a great choice for supper. "Phil" who is the face you always see when coming in to pick up your food is a great person and always remembers your name. Give it a try.

Can't beat the special great value in price and food quality! Don't be put off by its appearance, this place has been in business for ever for good reason.

Their in-house "special" plate is all you need...

Their in-house "special" plate is all you need. Although it's not fancy in any way, it is filling and very tasty and only $6.95. The service is very friendly. I wouldn't recommend ordering anything other than the "special" though. My friend ordered mushroom soup one time and it was just ordinary canned soup and slightly burnt.

I have been going to the Bland and White with my...

I have been going to the Bland and White with my family since I was a child, we would go every Friday and I have to say it is one of the best kept little secrets... a very friendly atmosphre and delicious meals... I Highly recomend "The Special" It's amazing if you like chinese food :) They also have a huge canadian selection.....You cant go wrong dinging at the black and white... The owners and servers are very friendly and never changes, it feels like your going to visit family when you go there they are so welcoming.
