    ewwww!

    served us rotten fish! How did i know...well it smelt like the inside of a cats mouth. then argued with us about how fresh it was. No it wasnt fresh.....it was foul. never again

    Worst Service Ever Received

    I use to visit the Fish & Chips side of the Pub with my dad for take out until I began to do it myself, and always had an excellent experience. Nevertheless, I took a party of 8 individuals into the dining Pub area, which was empty with 1 waitress. She didn't acknowledge our presence for more than 7 minutes, and upon doing so she gave us 3 menus to share amongst the 8 of us. I myself ordered an Ice Tea and a pound of chicken wings, I asked the flavours, and the waitress replied: "Mild, Medium, Hot." With the slim choice, I chose Medium. 3 more from my party ordered other food, with alcoholic beverages. 2 ordered alcoholic beverages, and the last 2 ordered just water. The waitress said that she could not give water to people who were not ordering... which instantly sparked a why not? and she gave us some obscure reason under some connection with the liquor board... instantly my party was upset. Nevertheless, we let it go, and waited for our meals to come... 35 minutes later not only did the waitress not visit the table again, but our food did not show. Upon complaint to the waitress my party left, leaving money for the drinks... This waitress provided the worst service I have ever received at any restaurant. Me and any of my party will never visit this establishment again, and hope that the miserable waitress that 'served' us never puts anyone else through this service.

    Best Halibut & Chips in Oshawa

    After trying a couple of other fish and chip establishments we have found Churchill's to be the best of them. Generous portions, excellent freshness and flavour, and a yummy slaw. Never greasy or overcooked as we found multiple times at the take out place at Rossland Square. Churchill's staff are always smiling and friendly. We need our F&S fix at least twice a month! With our takeout orders they are always generous with malt vinegar and tartar sauce packets too. Our friend from the U.K. won't get his fish and chips anywhere but Churchill's. They never disappoint.
