Kelsey's

Went there with a friend after some Christmas shopping at South Keys. There were three things that really annoyed me: 1) It was very cold and drafty in there. I know we are in December, but that's no excuse. 2) It was very dark in there. I mean, I get that you want dimmed lights for ambiance, but I thought it was a too dark. 3) Tacky Christmas decorations. For example, they had put wrapping paper over the wall prints. Weird. I wanted my beer in a bottle like they advertised on the menu, but when I ordered it they only had on tap (which is more expensive due to a pint being bigger than a bottle). We shared a 4 cheese spinach dip that was awesome! My main dish was just so-so; the pulled pork felt re-heated. I just find that with Kelsey's they have a few of everything, but no real specialty, so don't expect too much.

Great food and service!

I've gone to this Kelsey's several times now, and each time I've been very pleased with the food and service. The waitresses are always down-to-earth and friendly, the food is prepared very fast, and consistently good. I love the Four Cheese Spinach Dip appetizer, though they've changed the dipping bread to a baked variety that isn't quite as good (though apparently healthier for you). I normally always get the Club Wrap Platter after sharing the Spinach Dip with my girlfriend (the appetizer and platter would be too much for the average person, definitely best to have to someone to share the dip with). I've never been disappointed going here, and if you're looking for a dinner/movie type thing, they have a deal with Cineplex South Keys so you can walk right over after your meal. This Kelsey's is definitely my favorite chain restaurant to visit. The consistency in food/service means I'll keep going back!

Used to station myelf here when I visit Ottawa - 2 0r 3 times year - but this would be my last visit. The waitresses were just not there if you know what I mean and the portions definitely smaller. Had to sleep hungry.

Always excellent service, very friendly staff. Food is always good. Great place for friends and family to get together.
