Good food, good service(slow drink service but I think the waiters are also the bartenders), and great location\atmosphere. Bit of a boring spring menu but anxious to go back and see what they create for summer. Close to Niagara region and lots of wonderful fresh produce and farm products. Very large and expensive wine selection. Unfortunately a very gritty\sandy scallop kept the food from getting a perfect score.
Most beautiful atmosphere I have EVER seen, inside and out. Food was delicious and staff were extremely attentive (but not over-bearing). Expensive meals but well, well worth it! Can't wait to go back!!!
After having an out of this world lunch experience at Edgewater Manor we knew this was going to provide the 70 guests at our wedding with an experience to remember.
It is definitely a challenge to provide large groups with timely, fresh, hot and carefully made meals all at once, but they did it. Our guests were allowed to choose from garden or caesar salad, chicken supreme (my personal favourite!), NY steak or salmon and trio of chocolate or sorbet. But lets not forget the delicious hot out of the oven breads served before the meal! Some of my guests were delighted just by that!
Everyone who got the NY steak said it was the best steak they had ever had. But thats not to say the chicken supreme and the (very healthy sized portion) of salmon were not amazing as well!
Dessert was fantastic. I tasted both the trio of chocolate and the sorbet. Absolutely LOVE the white chocolate portion of the trio of chocolate, and the sorbets were to die for.
Not only do they provide fantastic quality food, but the interior and exterior of the building are well kept and full of character. The wait staff are also fantastic, especially the head waiter.
Many of my guests said they will definitely be returning to Edgewator Manor, and so will my new husband and I!
This is a hidden gem when it comes to private events! If you are looking to have a small intimate wedding like mine, talk to Peter at the Edgewater! The prices are surprisingly competitive compared to banquet halls when it comes to groups under 100.
This was a delicious and romantic dinner for two. The atmosphere was gorgeous and the service was wonderful. I was a little reluctant after reading the reviews but figured since there wasn't any recent reviews why not give them a chance.
The location is gorgeous, right along Lake Ontario with magnificent views of the sunset. We enjoyed every bit of our meal and will certainly go on another special occasion. The lamb was a little beyond the medium rare that was ordered, but everything else was mouth watering.
I would certainly recommend others to attend, even if it's just to enjoy drinks on their patio.
i was in awe when i walked in. what a nice looking place.can they not find good staff.The food is over priced.i found they had fish and chips on the menu..for an expensive place like this.
I've been to the edgewater many times over the past few years. It's always been an enjoyable meal.
Unfortunately this place has taken a turn for the worse. I should have been tipped off when Pad Thai and fish and chips showed up on the menu.
I have heard rumors that the staff have all quit. Unfortunately they've taken the good food with them.

We happened to be in the area and we happy to see the restaurant was open on a Monday night. The decor was magnificent - very elegant - but the place didn't seem stuffy (e.g., they were not snotty about seating us even though we hadn't dressed for a nice place - husband wearing jeans and a sweatshirt...). It was relatively empty, and the waiter was very accomodating, knowing that we were in a rush. He described the shrimp cocktail as containing "large" shrimp - that was an understatement. These were like mini lobsters, and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked. The main courses were also perfectly cooked. The lamb was divine - tender and flavourful. The steak equally so. We didn't have time for dessert, but look forward to going back when we are not in a rush, so that we can linger more with the great food and beautiful surroundings.
enjoyed it very much, but called ahead for a romantic seat, but they could not guarantee that. When we go there, we did have a romantic view of the lake, but unfortunately, the restaurant was empty except for the seats RIGHT BEHIND US! it kinda killed the mood a bit.
We went there for lunch on many occassions. We have travelled around the world and experienced many top restaurants abroad and in GTA. This place (location on the lake, the building, the staff and the food) were all exceptional. We loved the food, every piece of it. I am extremely picky and this is the only restaurant that delivered to my expectations every time. Fantastic!
We set up our wedding reception at Edgewater Manor. Just recently I have sent a letter (no time) formally thanking the manager. We had a perfect weather that day. Our ceremony was outide overlooking the garden/lake. Later our first dance was outside again and at the end of the night our final dance with sparklers. This location cannot be beat and we picked it while living all the way in Toronto. Food, where do I begin! Every meal was as expected, the help was incredible, our wedding day was perfect in every way, thanks to the staff, food, and especially the manager Michell who made every wish of ours come true. 80 people that came to our wedding that sunday agree. We highly recommend it!

My husband and I had a fantastic time at the Edgewater Manor. Not only are the grounds breathtaking but the food was superb. We have recommended friends to going there and I am certain they too will have an amazing time. Thank you for your hospitality
My sister and I celebrated her birthday. The staff made us both feel very special. Food was fantastic, Ambiance cant be beat, I will definitely have my wedding rehersal dinner party here!
I enjoyed mostly because of the party we were there with ... a large Christmas function. The food was nice, although a couple of the orders were messed up, the desserts were overrated, but nice enough. Our server was a nice enough young fella, but lost interest before the end of the night and grew impatient with our fun party. I'd go again to try it for a meal with my husband, and would certainly enjoy a party there again.
