Ive eaten here on several occasions and simply loved it each time. Its the perfect place to go on a romantic date or catch up with an old friend over a bottle of wine and some seriously delicious Italian cuisine! Will be going back for sure
Well I had heard of all the ravin about pasta e vino and was super excited about going there. There was a concert going on so all the tables got filled at the same time. First bad experience...I was sittin in the entrance to the bar/kitchen/STAFF ROOM?? Every time the server would go by he would hit my chair, but I had really no other way to sit. He then proceeded to yell at all the tables (OK GANG LISTEN UP) seriously, it's not like we all came together. THE FOOD, really I had the Penne A La BRAVO in a can SAUCE, Oh yeah I had the mushy bread too. Of course I wanted desert after my 12 Penne Noodles that were in my plate for 30.00, But surprise there was no cheesecake, wait there was 1 piece of something else, but the wait to another one of our GANG members!!! I have never written a critic about a restaurant, but I also work in the restaurant business and thought this was horrible!!!
Refreshing atmosphere, a charming place, with amazing staff. Our meals were incredible, service second to none. I've eaten in dozens of high end Italian restaurants, but few of them could match this authentic Italian gem!! Be coming back again soon.
Every time we are in Sudbury this is our must go to place to eat! I have tried many different things on the menu and have loved them all. I think the price are great. Its no more expensive than the chain places. For those that do not like it and say the food has no flavor, its because when you go to chain place like the Keg or Montana's, the food is so over powered with garlic to make you think your getting fab food. Unfortunately your then missing the real flavors of the food.
Reviewer "Vayda" is nuts! This is the best Italian restaurant we've ever eaten at! I LOVE the bruschetta and everything else that chef Frank makes in his kitchen. We now live in Ottawa and haven't found anything that comes close to Pasta e Vino. We go back to Sudbury twice a year and never fail to have an excellent meal at Pasta e Vino. My favourite: Vitello pizzaiola. Frank makes the sauce from scratch, and it's excellent every time! Never a bad meal...it's well worth your while to reserve a spot at this enchanting restaurant for a fantastic dinner!
A wonderful intimate dining experience. This is a lovely little restaurant located in an old house so seating is limited (perhaps 50), make sure you call ahead for a reservation. My wife is a vegetarian the chef came out from the kitchen to discuss her personal preferences and then made a dish for her. This is far above normal service and made the occasion very special. The food is superior, excellent wine cellar. Overall definitely one of the finest places to dine in Ontario. plenty of parking
I don't understand what the fuss is about the bruschetta. It was soggy and the cheese was hard. The meat is always overdone and the pasta isn't ever cooked to to al dente, but rather to mush. The house salad is just expensive lettuce with three black olives to garnish... The service was the only thing that I enjoyed. Over-priced mangia cake food.
Absolutely amazing. Easily the best bruschetta I have ever tasted in any restaurant. The veal marsala was also a cut above the rest. The desserts are quite tasty, but a little costly. Atmosphere is very nice, and we had a great waitress. It is an expensive restaurant but well worth the price.
Very disappointed. I was told that this restaurant was rated number one for pasta in the city. I have had better at some of the chain restaurants. Salad was bland. Garlic bread with cheese was thin and soggy. Couldn't taste anything but tomato sauce on the Rigatoni alla vodka. Loved the atmosphere and the service was very good.
Just recently came back from a trip to Italy... Having loved our trip and now hooked on Italian cuisine we decided to try Paste E Vino. Wow, it's like we never left Italy! The atmosphere is calming and relaxing, the food is delicious - no matter what you order! Would definitely recommend this restaurant over all the other Italian restaurants in town! Friendly service and SMILES!
We came into town for a function and decided to review this site for recommendations on restaurants. Pasta e Vino is the best. We will definetly return if we are in the area. Authetic homemade Italian food.

Intimate atmosphere, excellent prices, great food. We have brought everyone we know to this restaurant and nobody has ever been disappointed.
A beautiful century home, charmingly decorated. The staff were friendly, courteous and attentive to my every need. The food was perfect...delicious, nicely presented with sauces so good, I used the extra bread to savour every drop. I was dining alone, but will return with my husband on our next trip to Sudbury. Soon, I hope!
This is honestly the best restaurant for Fine dinning in the Sudbury area. Denfinitely a place that everybody should go to at least once in their life time. Keep Up the great service and food quality. Plus great romanitc atmosphere!!!

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Sudbury. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing!!! The food is to die for! And the service is EXCELLENT!!!
We always enjoy our dinners here. Excellent dishes, our favourite is the veal marsala, escargot & brushetta. Excellent service & lovely atmosphere! Our first choice for fine dining - keep up the great work Frank & staff!!
