Dr Bureau is great. She has been taking care of both my dog & my cat for years, and she has always been responsive, gentle and careful. She is kind about helping me keep costs down. The place is always clean - I dont know what that other review is talking about - and Ive always gotten great service and care for my pets.
One of the worst services I've ever experienced. This place is unclean, unprofessional and more importantly, treats animals very poorly. So many mistakes were made during a routine check up :( I'm sure the vet will mention (as with previous negative comments) that I am not an 'active client'. Well that's correct. I'll NEVER be an active client with your disgraceful vetenary practice.
Recently we took our very old and sick dog to the clinic and after a conversation with Dr. Bureau, decided it was time to end the dog's suffering. We were not treated very sensitively as we were not told how quickly the drug would take effect. We were not able to hold her or comfort her as we would have wanted as the dog basically died right away and fell over on the table. We are not only left with the guilt and sorrow of having to say goodbye to our beloved pet, but this awful awful memory.

Dear client, We are saddened by your loss and by this review. We are treating all our patient in a very humane and professional way and this was the case with your beloved pet. Your dog was gently prepared for the procedure by the veterinarian who skillfully and gently placed and secured an IV catheter. You were then called in the treatment room and allowed as much time as you needed with your dog to say goodbye. You then decided on the timing of the injection and the veterinarian proceeded according to wish. The time required for the drug used in euthanasia to make its effect is quite highly variable between patients. The goal is for it to act as rapidly as possible, almost instantly, in order to minimize the risk of potential suffering by the animal. That the drug worked very fast was in fact the ideal situation for your pet and you. Your beloved dog did not suffer and went in the most peaceful way while you were holding him. You were then given as much time as you needed to stay with him afterward. We respected your grief and truly understand your sadness. Your pet and grief were handled in the most professional way. We wish you all the best in the future.
This clinic is very focused on getting your pet diagnosed as quickly and as inexpensively as possible, returning your pet, if possible to a healthy status, and to the owner. Experienced attentive, clear and helpful assistance when my cat was returned to me from an emergency clinic, Animal Emergency Clinic of Etobicoke, that wasn't too interested in the cat's tedious follow-up work after a diabetic crisis was stabilized by them. This clinic had to quickly orient themselves with my cat's problems, and to somehow provide day-to-day care after its cirisis, i.e. sugar level testing & general care. They tried to help as best as they could. I'd definitely recommend them to any cat or dog owner.
