Lucy is a very caring and passionate individual. Lucy exudes calmness and my cat benny was very relaxed. benny had severe matting and Lucy did a great job removing most of them. benny was becoming a little upset and we decided to do the rest another time. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

another client that is not internet savvy,,( love the old school folks) I was not happy bringing my cat into a salon that also has dogs in them. My Mitzy is terrified of them!. I had a friend of mine mention that she gets a groomer to come and groom her cat and its the same girl that pet sits her cat too.. I didnt know I could have this service in my home. Thank you Lucy for coming and giving my Mitzy a fun lion cut, I swear she prances around to show it off. :)

Lucy came to our home and groomed not one but 4 dogs! They all looked soo handsome afterwards! She was patient (as one is skittish) and did a great job calming them down! She had her own all natural treats she gave them as well! The dogs all really liked her and we will be using her services again! Thanks Lucy!!!

The people at the Galloping Groomer are far more professional than some of the salons we have had experience with, not to mention other mobile grooming services. The care and consideration that is given to our rescue cats and dogs is comforting. We highly recommend and will always use this company for all our pet care needs.

    Worst haircut in 9 years

After waiting 2 weeks for the appointment specifically with Lucy- the morning of, Lucy confirmed she would be there between 12:30 and 1pm. At 1:10, I received a call from Lucy saying she had an issue to deal with. I told her to attend to her issue and that we could rebook for another day. Lucy was adamant of sending in 2 girls to do it instead. The girls were lovely people but did a terrible job with the haircut. I paid them in full before they even bathed my now traumatized dog.

As a professional business, we are obligated to offer a rebook or a replacement. You chose the latter and I did send a fully qualified replacement. She had an assistant to help after me mentioning that Rufus your dog has issues and does not like to be groomed in a salon. As a precaution and certainty, we like to keep in contact with our replacements during the grooming process. Photos of Rufus before grooming showed severe matting under the chin and upper lip area, under and around the legs and body. In order to remove and allow the dog to fell more comfortable from the matts that pull the skin when active, a very short cut was the solution to help alleviate the matts. During the grooming, Rufus was showing signs of mild aggression/stress that turned into a few bites to the assistant. You offered your help and in return was almost bit as well. You where telling the groomer not to cut the top of the snout but when was advised of all the matting. After a few min. you decided to leave the room and allow the groomer to continue. After the continuous struggle the 2 ladies where experiencing, you tried to send your son done to help but he flat out refused stating 'I don't feel like getting bit". After about an hour in the groom you started to complain about the cut and how Rufus is stressing, he hates getting his nails or feet touched etc etc. As all professional groomers know, if a dog is badly matted and the owner states that he/she brushes and bathes the dog regularly then there should not be much if at all matts within the fur. I asked when he was last groomed and you said 2 months ago, but have been up north and he is matted. The replacement groomer did what was in the best interest by grooming the dog with what she had to work with. And as the professional she is, tried to finish even though biting was present. You refused a bath for Rufus stating he is so traumatized by all this that you would do it yourself at a later time. You then called me saying that the ladies where great, but not happy with the cut. I replied if I was there myself and the dog was in the condition I saw from the photos I too would have done the same thing, but when he started the biting, I would of stopped and recommend an alternative to grooming him. You wanted someone to come to your home because Rufus was stressed at the salon and it would be better. However Rufus did not seem to like to be handled by a groomer, and even if I was to come with my behavioral experience, I would of said the same thing in person. I offered to come and see the groom when in your area. I also asked for you to send photos of him in a settled and relaxed state so I could observe and see if I can help to correct the cut. you did not follow up with the photos, but decided to write a bad review.. In the time you did so, Im sure a couple of pics would have taken the same amount of time. We are not groomers that will try and brush out matts that are not brushable nor put a pet through any stress in trying that may result in irritation. If other salons chose to do so, then I am not surprised as to his stress and traumatic persona. Your dog was badly matted and the only way to correct it was to clean up the matts in a safe manner so that Rufus could grow out his fur to look like you want, not be forced. I stand by my company, staff and humane methods. 1 bad review is not justifiable to proof we have on how your dog was presented at the time of his groom.|

The said unknown with a title "worst hair cut in 9 yrs" is no one we may have dealt with.. I feel this is a false review as I have just recently opened an account with Yelp and was not available for any of my services as of July 10th to Sept 12th 2015...
