North Pole Bakery

Lucy Loizzo had been running a successful catering business when she and her husband decided they needed a more permanent address. In 1974 they came across North Pole Bakery and opened up what soon came to be known as one of the best Italian bakeries on The Danforth.

Lucy and her family pride themselves on their excellent service and food. They cater to the needs of their customers in such a way that every customer is sure to return. “I love to socialize and I love to cook,” says Lucy. “Every customer that comes in, I treat them like family. I’d rather be sharing authentic Italian food than being retired right now.”
