Union Yoga + Wellness

Located above a Shoppers Drug Mart just west of the Ossington subway station on Bloor Street West, Union Yoga + Wellness is an emerging studio that seeks to fill a growing niche in the neighbourhood. Studio director Ruby Knafo and her husband chose to resurrect a hot yoga studio that had previously existed in the building, housing a space for current and new students to practice.

Says Ruby, “My philosophy really is that yoga is for everybody. That everyone stands to benefit from a yoga practice — whether you come once a month or once a week or every single day, I think there’s something to be gained.”

From a cozy entrance foyer to complimentary tea, Union Yoga + Wellness offers an open and inviting vibe. A wheelchair-accessible elevator also helps increase user-friendliness.
