I've eaten at Kim Chi twice and I find their food to taste very similar to any Chinese restaurants. When they first opened I expected a more unique taste that is different than what I used to eat, but it's all the same.
Best sushi I have ever tasted! I am not biased just because Hank is my landlord; his is truly the best I have ever had. I have loved every dish I have ever tasted there. I've eaten in many Japanese restaurants, and Hank outdoes himself with every dish. This does not even touch on the personal things he does for special occasions; if he knows about it you get a special plate with the appropriate wish written in sauce, such as "Happy Birthday". The Miso soup and Gyoza are so good, and the sushi & sashimi is to die for. The atmosphere is quiet and respectful even at the busiest of times, and Hank is always there to greet you, especially if he knows you. If you dine anywhere in Hope you have to go to the Kimchi! As well, Hank is Korean, so if you want authentic Korean kimchi, he is your man. Irene
Nice ambience, very good food, reasonable prices. Service can be somewhat spotty, provided by ditzy high school girls, but the Korean cooks and owner are first-rate. Highly recommended. Try not to arrive when a tour bus of hungry Asians is there for lunch!
