Had heard so many positive things about the Mahle House, decided to make the drive to Cedar to give it a try. It was a great decision.
The room is...quaint. Style of decor wasn't really my cup of tea but it's an old house and it suits its purpose. I must say it was quite cozy.
Server was a little frumpy but efficient and attentive. That must sound so shallow, but I want to be honest. She didn't make suggestions, which is something I adore when dining out. My guest and I dine out all the time, so we were able to navigate the menu with ease anyway.
Reading the menu, everything sounded delicious. We decided on the seafood trio appy in which all the seafood was cooked just right. Scallop seared only on one side and tender. These folks know how to do it right.
I had the stuffed chicken and my guest had the tuna. I was surprised at how large the portions were. I could not finish my meal, it was huge, rich and soooo good. My guest had the tuna which was slightly overcooked, though we did not specify a temperature (we like it rare), but nonetheless very tasty.
We managed to save room for dessert and shared a dessert sampler. Rich chocolate treats and a small creme brulee. Fabulous.
I will definitely go back for the food and have no quams about telling friends to try it out.

I miss dining in at this restaurant once in a while for the buffet (due to pandemic, I have not been able to visit). I love the decorations and carved panels on the walls. While the food is about average, they have a big menu and lots of more authentic Chinese dishes to try.

The parking lot is tiny and awkward but you can also park on the street. They are closed for a while after lunch rush before opening for dinner at 5p (?). Everything is beautifully prepared and very generous proportions. The staff are very friendly and most accomodating to any substitutions you may want to make. Room is drafty on a cool day. Lots of us 'regulars' are addicted to their 'Spring Rolls' Very large portion served cut in small pcs with dipping sauce and rice or noodles. makes a very large meal,you wouldnt have room for anything more by yourself. If you share and get maybe 2 other dishes,that would be plenty for 4 people.

we really enjoy the food here. The people working are also very friendly and outgoing. My best friend introduced us but when I lived close by I ordered from here. Then I moved my bff introduced us back. She always orders from here after or before work. Now this is my daughter’s favourite food. Thank you for everything and love it is debit too on delivery. We have frequented this restaurant several times over the past year with both our sports team and my family. The food quality is consistently great and the service is fantastic. Our team usually books the upstairs function room which seats about 50 people.
