One of the standout highlights of my dining experience was the seared scallops with cauliflower puree and truffle oil. The scallops were perfectly cooked to tender perfection, with a delicate caramelization that added depth of flavor. I'm not sure what these other people are talking about because I think this place is amazing. They have three locations now, and as a loyal customer, I have visited all of them. Each atmosphere is a little different, the most recent addition at Yonge/Eglinton (Piazzetta #3) is the nicest. More importantly, the food is consistently amazing, not to mention inexpensive. My guests and I have never been disappointed. The pastas are always fresh and the pizzas are always perfectly thin and remind me so much of my trip to Italy. My favourites are the Calamari, Penne Primavera and Arugala Salad. But I also love the funghi pizza (which ALWAYS has lots of mushrooms). My partner loves the grilled salmon and veal chop entrees. Everything I've ordered has always been fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend! Lire plus

Our absolute favourite for authentic italian. You know the restaurant is a gem when the local Italians eat there with their whole families (babies too!). As Marcello's is always packed, go early to get a seat (especially if your party is larger than 4) or expect to wait in line at least 30 minutes or longer. Service is prompt when seated and the lively atmosphere makes it very homey. The waiters are efficient, no-nonsense and definitely not snobby(as in other places), and they know the menus. On regular nights we share an appetizer, and dessert with our meals and we are stuffed!! The tirimisu is home made and heavenly; you could easily have seconds. I have been to other restaurants on College street, and quite honestly, at Marcello's the dishes are on par and above on quality. Combine the quality of food, with good portion sizes, very reasonable pricing, and you will see why Marcello's is always packed!! Lire plus

FINALLY. A place in Toronto that serves awesome Pizza! Fresh Toppings, loaded with taste, perfect cheese, and a great crust. And not greasy! Hands down my favourite and best Pizza parlour in Toronto. The Danforth Pizza house is good, but this is better. If you have ever had pizza in the Windsor-Detroit area, this pizza is made from that same recipe. You'll know as soon as you taste it. If you decide to dine in, the interior is clean, casual, and a classy. Staff is friendly and work hard to ensure you are happy with your meal. The pasta dishes are good too, very fresh, and good sized portions. The prices are standard fare. Lire plus

When the pizza arrived at my table, I was immediately captivated by its presentation. The crust was thin and perfectly crispy, with a slight char that hinted at the traditional wood-fired baking method. The tomato sauce was vibrant and flavorful, spread generously over the dough and adorned with creamy mozzarella cheese and fresh basil leaves. I had heard terrific things about Domani, a restaurant run by a former pro footballer from Afghanistan who has worked at some of Toronto's top restaurants, and had to come down to High Park and see for myself. The service was very courteous, prompt, and personal. At no point did we even have to ask for anything because it was already taken care of. The food was exquisite, well-presented and skilfully prepared. The portions were large but despite being quite full it was too delicious to leave any behind. The desserts were absolutely amazing, though next time I would do without the espresso. Though Domani requires a bit of a journey, I have not eaten anywhere in Toronto where gourmet food of this quality is available at such a reasonable price and accompanied by such excellent service.
