I got Aztek homes to finish my 800sq ft basement. Marc came and did the quote for us. He was very friendly and professional. All of the staff were very polite and friendly. While speaking with Marc I was very clear I wanted my basement done quickly after they started, as we had a 12 month old baby at home. He assured us that they would be done in about three months. They started mid February and they didn't finish till around the end of July. Sometimes there would be two to three weeks where nobody would show up, and there was no progress. It was very frustrating for us. They over charged us for extras and We had to get them to correct it. There were a few things that We had to get them to change throughout the job that they hadn't done correctly. For example, they framed one of the basement walls crooked and it was very noticeable. The tile in our bathroom was done very poorly, so they had to tear it out and restart. The cleaners that came in after the basement was finished, did not even clean the toilet, which was dirty from the workers' usage. It is now December and I am still waiting for the furnace cleaning that was included in the quote. The finished result is not completely up to our standards but we are glad that it is finished. For the amount that We paid, we expected faster results.
