Hatch Match'r Fly & Tackle

Hatch Match'r Fly & Tackle opened in 2004 as a place where veteran and would-be fishermen could find all the supplies and information needed to take up fly fishing. Most days, the shop is much like an old-style coffee house where the fly-fishing community meets to share stories and share angling tips. "We didn't really have any fishing stores in the area," owner Randy Morgan explains. "My passion was fly tying at that time, and I was running a fly-tying course out of my basement. So, I just decided to expand on my fly-tying course and branch out.

"I've fished all my life," says Randy, "I started tying flies when I was nine. I bought my first boat when I was 14. And then I became a fly-fishing store junky. I hung out there in my early teens and that’s how I learned." He spent much of his youth from that point either teaching at the shop or fishing nearby.
