You gotta eat Veras Meat,...seriously though...probably the best burger ever! Fresh, juicy beef with no bits like some beef burgers and shredded real Cheddar Cheese.You can get a plethora of condiments for your burger , the fries would have been great if they were a little more cooked. Not cheap but worth the money and generous in portion size. Rich,meaty Chilli Fries too! Great counter staff. Daily specials. Fun,colorful decor and very clean shop. Veras is THEE burger shack...I can't wait for the next visit... Happy Noshin' Brianm.

Delicious!

We used to get over to Vera's in Fraser Heights once a year, and we were thrilled to learn that a new location was opening up right in our home area of Newton. We went to the new one on grand opening day. We went grocery shopping first and we could smell the burgers cooking from there when we went in and when we came out. We hurried over to get one before they ran out! However, my first and only negative comments started there. It wasn't terribly busy inside, but it was SMOKEY. I think they forgot to install a ventilation system. Going in it was a hellish site of watery eyes and people just trying to get their food and get outside again. Also the counter service was pretty poor, and a little impolite, however given we were all suffering in there I have to forgive him, he was probably doing his best. As for the burgers, 10.99 per combo may seem pricey but let me assure you Vera's makes the best burger in BC, a treat for the mouth. The home cut fries are equally great, we saw someone else order the onion rings and let's just say we're splitting some next time around. We'll be going back!
