"The TAP store wasn't actually for sale when I made an offer," recalls Mona Neufeld, TAP's current owner. "But I had worked here for a while and I just coveted it. I made an offer and it turned out the owner was ready to sell. My timing was perfect."
TAP – or True Aromatherapy Products & Spa, to give it the full-name treatment – is more than a store and spa. "It's an experience," says Mona. "About 95% of our product is blended in-house. We make our own massage oils, lotions, face care products, lip balms – almost everything we use. Our emphasis, as much as possible, is on local and handmade. Our spa is small, but it's quaint and cozy."
