Most of the staff is helpful and friendly, but almost all the freshwater tanks contain black algae! We set up a new planted tank with gravel and plants from here and now our tank is covered in black algae. We asked someone how to deal with this problem and they said they didn’t know because they haven’t dealt with this problem before.....

When it comes to advice, this store sucks. Part owner reccomended using pool filter sand, which caused excessive clouding. Then they recommended Seachem purigen and bags, which did not contains small grains, and the grains entered aquarium. When I bought a $60 fish, and it died after a few days, they came up with poor excuses why the guarantee wasnt valid. I will never buy any fish or listen to their advice EVER. Do not shop there.

Went to the Vernon store with a friend a few months ago. Was followed around by a employee who started yelling at us for looking at the animals and demanded to know why we were in there. When we said we were browsing, she didn't believe us and continued to follow us around. We weren't even carrying bags!! It was the worst experience I have ever had in ANY store, and I saw the same lady in there recently. If she treated all her customers the way she treated us, she should be fired.
