Exorbitant repair costs

Brad replaced a bad alternator on my 2007 Rav4 last Friday and charged me $534 CAD for a re-manufactured alternator, $142 CAD for labor (also additional $9 CAD for shop supplies). Next day I went to a reputable local auto electrician and was quoted $180 CAD for an alternator and $85 CAD for installation. I understand parts and labor prices can vary but if a part is 3 times more expensive and labor almost 2 times then something definitely is wrong.

Brad has worked on everything from my 30 year old Volkswagon to my 2007 wheelchair accessible Toyota van.Always tells me the price before starting work.Very honest.Years ago when Brad had mechanics working for him,Brad actually gave me a refund when one of his mechanics overcharged me!He's the best!
