Come here on a good day and you will be pleasently suprized !! The Boathouse has amazing Ribs slow cooked with a homemade tangy BBQ sauce like nothing I've ever had b4! You almost want to lick you're plate clean. The Ribs fall off the bone and melt in you're mouth. The pulled pork was also very sweet and tangy smothered in their great BBQ sauce! My favourate meal of all time slow roasted tangy pulled pork on a fresh roll. With Kettle chips and some of the best gravey If not the best I ever had to Dip their light and crispy melt in you're mouth. They get a little hectic around nighttime a cpl times I been rushed out for their bar night but if you go for lunch its really good. Service at lunch is good at night their more worried about those who are boozin it up lol. I think this place could be taken to the next level if they set them selves at beeing just a resturaunt and not a dive bar. But still my favourate place to eat lunch.

As you can tell, I hate this restaurant with a passion. I would like to start by saying that the over all experice of the restaurant is gross and I don't know how they are still even open. There are a bunch of us who go there, only out of convenience because it's so close to the Powerade Centre. I am so happy the season is over because I don't think I can handle ever going there again. I have had a number of bad experiences at Jakes but I am going to choose the worst ones so I can get my point across. The music there is rediculous and they need a change. Also the service is atrocious, this once server is so, so, so rude to the females but the males at the table get the special treatment. I honestly cannot stand the sight of this women, when she is the server that night I leave extremely early. I don't appreciate being disrespected time and time again. The most current disappointment which has lead me to write this complaint, has to be my favorite one yet. I was sitting at the table and I had ordered water that night, our server for the evening came over and started to clear our table. I still can't figure out how this happened but she grabbed a basket and it knocked over my full glass of water. The water spilled all over me, I was soaking wet. My entire shirt, sweater and pants were hit with the frigid cold water. In shock I get up to get paper towel in the bathroom. Not once did the server say sorry or apologize in any way. She came out with a towel after but that's about it. I was pretty up set and I just wanted to leave. There have been so much more but I can't keep track anymore. I never write complaints but felt the need to for this place. I also hear from the team that the food isn't that great. I never eat there because it just seems dirty in there, if they can't keep the tables clean then I wonder what the kitchen looks like!
Probably the worst resturant ive ever been to. the food is bland and over priced. Once me and my buddies went there and we were asked to give all of our drinks and empty cups to be held in the backroom. The guy (i think his name was mike) was a complete jerk about it as well just totallyruining the experience. he even acted like he was better than us when he returned our items to us, like it was a priviledge. we didnt go back for a month, but we decided to give it another chance. so we go there and order our usual meals. about half way through the waitress starts to make comments on how so my friend and i were eating our meals. she then comments saying i should eat more so i gain more muscle and look attractive. the service and food there are both disgusting and i strongly recomend avoiding this restaurant.
WE HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR OVER FIVE YEARS. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. THE ATMOSPHERE AND STAFF ARE FUN & FRIENDLY. THE FOOD IS GREAT WITH LOTS OF VARIETY. THE ENTERTAINMENT IS FABULOUS. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD TIME OUT WITH FRIENDS...THIS IS THE PLACE! CHECK IT OUT, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

The place is a dump! the only cool person in the place is the guy bartender. The servce sucked. The food was mediocore at best and the the big manager with the blonde crew cut is a complete moron. I was there last year a little bit after Christmas and the only good thing I saw from that place was one of the bussers who said his name was Chris. He seemed like he was doing everything. Maybe he should be promoted to manager instead of that big guy with the crew cut who doesn't seem to know anything!!
We had a large party of 50. We chose Jakes because of both reputation and location. Many of us frequented Jakes in the "early days", when it was located on bramsteel&Glidden.
We had a reunion for Bramalea secondary.It was our Nifty Fifty party.
The band, Itchy & scratchy was aewsome!!
Of course the service was great, as was the staff!

Jake's is the best! In fact, I'm taking my husband there for his birthday in a few weeks. We frequent this bar, because of the clientele, the bands, and the food. I haven't had a bad experience there at all. Staff very polite, despite my drunken friends hitting on them.. This is a great evironment and I love the ribs! The only thing is that I wish there were more on the plate..
Size of the Party was actually about 50 people.
I would definately book a party here again, from the friendly staff, live band, great food, and reasonably priced menu, it was a wonderful night had by all. My Thanks to Kim, Dave, and Jennifer at Jake's for the great service and hospitality.

Been going to Jake's for a few years now. Seems to me its a big family that work because, the friendly blonde manager makes me feel right at home. I bring my friends and always have great service with smile. Never had a bad experience yet at Jake's and will continue to go and have fun with friends.

If you're looking for a place to get great ribs, look no further. I've eaten at this restaurant a few times, always had the ribs, and have never been disapointed. Their ribs are beer steamed and always fall off the bones tender. The wings were excellent as well, really tasty. Service at this restaurant is touch and go...Sometimes it's great, sometimes...not so great.
Food was hot and well presented....Service was prompt and friendly and orders were correct....Crowd was friendly and comfortable....a place you can call your bar!

It is the kind of place you love to frequent and bring your friends. I enjoyed the many people who were dancing as well as the way people hang out at the bar in a publike way. There were people there with their kids which reminded me of a neighborhood family type place. I am returning with my family to celebrate my son's birthday,. They will all love it I'm sure. Can't wait to try the ribs! These places are hard to find in Toronto. Down to earth crowd.

They truly don't have a clue what they're doing in their kitchen. Attempts at some sort of oriental fusion things come out as confused messes.
The wings were dry, the scallops wrapped in bacon were blubberous, the edamame pan-fied in butter instead of simply steamed. Oriental type rice and noodle bowls comes out as oddly-flavoured mushy wrecks. Utterly insipid dining.
Buy a cookbook, get a clue - something!
It's a shame. Decent bands from time to time.
