A restaurant that is NOT cheap that refuses to take Amex (or "Ay-mex", as they describe it). What is this, the ghetto? I will not go there again, obviously.
Dined at this restaurant and ordered the barbequed chicken, white rice, spring rolls and beef thai salad. The beef thai salad was horrible and it smelled like the beef had gone bad. When the waiter asked what was wrong i told him and he didn't seem to care or aknowledge the problem. Apart from this the serive was horrible staff were eating behind bar, talking about their weekend and it seemed like a restaurant when you know owners/management are NOT present! Do yourself a favour and go to Quan99 down the street where owner is present, reliable and cares!!
I love this restaurant every time I visit it or get takeout. The food is so yummy !! In a city that serves mostly horrible bar food..pizza , chicken wings, ribs,potato..... cheese.....this restaurant is a BREATH OF FRESH AIR.

This was my second time visiting My-Thai. When we first walked in, we were seated right away. It has a quaint atmosphere, but not as nicely decorated. We were given menus right away and ordered right away as we were starving! The Pad Thai was amazing, I love how they provide a complimentary Spring Roll on the side of the dish, what a lovely touch! Not too expensive either, $11 for a Pad Thai which is filled with shrimp, chicken, and tofu. Would definitely visit again as the food is superb!
I am a vegetarian and fully expected to see more vegetarian options on the menu. almost everything had meat in it and when I asked to do a substitution, the waitress told me that their policies were strict and prevented substitutions. I ordered the Thai Modern meal and although the food was fresh and well-prepared, it lacked imagination. The Spring Rolls tasted like cardboard and the Thai Green Curry was overcooked. I enjoyed this restaurant in the past but now even the peanut sauce tastes pasty here.
Terrible service from the girl waitress. We had to keep asking to get a copy of the menu available on line. The waitress wanted us to order from the lunch menu and we had to ask twice. Failed to deliver our appetizer as she forgot to place the order and the meal I received was not what I had ordered. She told my girlfriend her meal would come with a spring roll and it did not. The food was below average at best. A total waste of money.
We've tried an assortment of things over time, and the food is great! We're totally addicted to the coconut shrimp, and the cashew chicken is wonderful. Have also tried the mango chicken which is also great, and the emerald rice which is good, the chicken skewers, thai rolls, and I forget what else. Excellent, and quick service too.. great for takeout and they have delivery, but you must have cash on hand!
Had Wag-Jag coupons, but was very disapointed in having only 2 meals to choose from. To get us to return, you must allow the choice of any of the 4 meals on the coupon. My wife only eats Pad Thai, which meant that I had to have the Emerald Curry, and I am not a big lover of Curry. Give the customer a choice of either Pad-Thai, Emerald Curry, Cashew Chicken, or Exotic Vegetables, Please!!!
We have eaten at this restaurant as a family or with friends on 4 different occassions. The food is always excellent and the service has always been great. It is our favourite place to eat in Brantford!
The service was friendly but not very proactive. Had to ask for refills and sometimes the server wasn't very knowledgeable when asked allergy related questions about the food. I had their Shish Kabobs with Peanut and Lemongrass dip. I also tried their Cashew Chicken which was great! The restaurant could use a new location as the downtown Brantford area is still rough looking and the restaurant itself is long and narrow. It is a bit pricy but they use a lot of high cost items in their food (mangoes, cashews, jasmine rice, etc) so it's not too bad considering that.

Stopped by for takeout. The atmosphere is great - spacious and airy in a big old building. The spring rolls were very good, the Pad Thai was good, but the other entrees we got (sorry, can't remember which) weren't the best.
This was our first time visiting & I was favourably impressed. Nothing special about the dining room or atmosphere, but we had very good friendly service. Waitress was helpful & attentive. The food just hit the spot (generous portion sizes) and demolished my curry craving. Would visit again.
the first time we ate there we went to the location which we thought was a little cramped and over priced. So i thought I'd give it a go for take-out.
Well first off the last time I checked 4pcs for 4.99 is 4 spring rolls not 2 cut in half to make 4pcs. Then I ordered extra sweet n sour sauce and is a good thing I did cause the cups were only 1/2 full at best. (and same goes for the peanut sauce...very disappointing )
Now as far as the actual taste of the dishes, I've had better thai food and remembered it sorely as I ate these mediocre dishes. The appetizers and salads are passable, (though I could be wrong, but the crushed peanuts seem store bought and pre-crushed lacking that wonderful peanutty crunchiness). The cashew chicken (with only soft cashews) had 'fresh orange' in it and unfortunately the whole dish had this overpowering orange rind bitterness, and the pad thai ...well it isn't the best pad thai. I mean it has that pad thai flavor (and I know there is pad thai out there that tastes like a shoe) but I thought from the reviews I read that it would be something better than it was...But mabye I've been spoiled. And I would agree with what was previously reviewed and stay away from the beef I also found it very tough and didn't order it again.
So I won't be going back to My-Thai I think it lacks flavor to be charging such prices.

our entire family love this place! our kids aged 3-10 request it for our dinners out. the service is impeccable. the food is not just great tasting but also good quality and healthy. people need to realize how much quaity food you can get for such a decent price. where can you go and feed 5 for between $50 and $70!? and have leftovers for the kids lunch the next day!!!!

I have been to My-Thai three times now and have nothing bad to say about it. The servers are always pleasant (I have had a different one everytime) it has a nice atmosphere, and the food is always great. My favourite item on thier menu is there pad thai, but I have also tried a few different appetizers, which were all very good. I am going back for a fourth time on Wednesday. Prices very good as well! The best restaurant in Brantford!
Have eaten here on several occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed the meals and atmosphere!!!!!I have taken several less adventerous eaters here and they really enjoyed their meals. If you are tired of eating the same old thing==this is the place to go. From mild to spicy , meat to vegetarian, there is something zfor everyone. New restaurant goers will love the cozy, comfortable atmosphere and will savour the aromas and flavours of some excellent Thai dishes!!!!!!!!
