We have ordered from here for years. It was high on the price before but now they have changed the size of the containers to 1/2 the size, hence it is really expensive now as the prices didn't lower. Not impressed.
Food is usually good we are regular customers and i always leave a good tip but today my son had his usual general taos combo dinner and he couldn't eat it. He said the chicken was hard and unchewable and the rest tasted mushy and burnt. Definitely dissappointed.
Nothing tasty. So horrible i could not eat one of the dishes. Complete waste of money.
Just awful!!!! I used to order from this restaurant all the time. Never again. Everything was cold and raw.. I had to re-cook the entire meal. I guess ordering at 7pm on a Monday really made them rush to close the place. If I wanted to cook my own meal and dirty my own dishes I wouldn't have ordered take out. Simply put...I would not recommend.

They were not friendly at all, it felt like it was a bother to even take my order. When we got home the order was wrong and very bland. Can we have at least one good Chinese food establishment in cambridge. :/
I have been to both locations in cambridge and was disgusted by both. The food was soggy and cold. If I didn't know better I would think that the food was kept under heat lamps. i will never go there again.
Read the below revie you didnt mention which one you were at. I go to the Cedar location since were in the area. Used to love this place but they are letting me down now the last couple of times. EVERYTHING Incredibly oily, everything bland and there was yelling in the kitchen. If the sneezing is true I think were going to try the other places (not goerges they smoother everything in orange sauce).
I've just signed up to this review site because of a concerning situation that happened a few weeks ago at Dragon City. I have ordered takeout from Dragon city numerous times, and the food was fast and tasty. However on my last visit i waited for the takeout inside the front door and much to my dismay i witnessed the cook SNEEZE directly in the aisle between the cooking food and the prepared food and he did NOT make any effort to contain it or cover his mouth. What's more, even though i was in plain site, he proceeded to SPIT openly onto the floor!!!! I have an iron stomach and can normally let things go, but i felt a review was necessary as i failed to address the situation before i left to the management. Hopefully they will read this and get a grip on proper food preparing/cooking and common courtesy! I loved eating there, but now unfortunately i won't be back. I leave it up to the rest of you to decide! Sorry dragon city, but DON'T SNEEZE ON MY FOOD!
We use this restaurant for occassional takeout, overall its a good takeout place but sometimes lacks the consistancy on service and food, considering all the visits we have made its Still decent value for money.
the place does not look very good from the outside. i was very hesitant when my bf and his brother wanted to order out from here. glad we did. last weekend we order take out from his place. thank god we did the food was delicious. we order the almond sui guy (my bf`s fave), beef how fun, veg chow mein, veg low mein, 2 egg rolls. so good. he called and the lady told us it would be 10mins. it literally was 10 mins. the noodles were soft & chewy, but flavorful at the same time. there were tons of veggies in my noodles & chowmein. lot's of big pieces of broccoli, mushrooms and celery. the almond sui guy was way too battered for me, but my bf loved it. the fortune cookies were mildly sweet & tasted like vanilla. the meal was awesome and we highly recommend the place.
Best Chinese take out we've had in Cambridge (yet). Our order is always ready in 15 minutes or less even on a busy night. Good portions (dinner for 3 feeds 5). Pay cash and get a choice of 2 free side orders.
Pretty decent, but nothing spectacular. Fried Wontons are really good. The soup however, was really gross in my opinion. I couldn't even eat it. The take out was super quick, so I'll probably go back...maybe once a year.
I have been ordering from the Cedar location since opening and have yet to be disappointed, this is my go to Chinese food spot here in Cambridge. I find the portions justify the price points and have been able to feed five to six people on one fifty dollar take out with leftover to spare. Quality has been consistent overall.
Every now and then, we order chinese food from this restaurant. We have 4 people in our family, and because our youngest is only 5 and the meal for 3 has a pretty big portion for just 3 people, we can save some money rather than ordering the meal for 4. If you order for your family, I recommend the crab rangoon. This one makes the best rather than the one on Franklin, but it's only a bonus item, so it won't come with any order or by itself. While this restaurant may be a bit overpriced, it's in general a good place to order food to settle in on a friday night!
I tried the new Dragon City on Franklin after enjoying the location on Cedar Street for years. After messing up our take-out order, being rude when asking me to return with someone else's food and not even thanking me for driving back across town due to their mistake, the food was mediocre at best. Don't even bother going to the new Dragon City on Franklin Road - stick with the Cedar Street location for good chinese food!
The best Chinese food in Cambridge! Their service is very fast and the portions ample. The price is also fair. The menu is also fairly large and they cook it right in front of you. The only suggestion I could offer is that they launch their website so that you could browse the menu online.
The dumplings are a great appetizer! We order them every time but can't figure out which are better, steamed or fried. The sesame chicken is also very good, so is the cantonese chow mein and lemon chicken just to name a few.
BEST CHINESE FOOD AROUND.NICE STAFF.AND GREAT PORTIONS.DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TRY THEM OUT.
