Ginko was the first Japanese restaurant my boyfriend took me to before we started dating. I was quite skeptical upon first glance, since they're located by the airport and inside a hotel. Once inside and seated in a comfortable booth, and eating, my opinion of this establishment quickly changed.
Not only does this restaurant make you feel like you've literally stepped into Tokyo (as evidenced by the traditional booths, decor and Japanese waitresses serving you in Yukatas), the food will surpass your expectations. My boyfriend was in charge of ordering, and he ordered us assorted sushi and sashimi on a boat. We were met with excellent service, and I must say--the quality of the fish and dining experience will have us be returning again soon.
Ginko has been around for what I think is a lotta years and the quality has never gone down. This hotel retaurant is staffed by nice japanese geisha and has fish to die for, i still dont know if they serve lunch but dinner is the best in the area. A little pricy but nothing around beats it.
This was our second visit to Ginko's, and everytime we go, we fall in love with the experience all over again. Amazing, authentic japanese food, incredible service, beautiful decor and ambiance; that resumes what you'll find at Ginko's. Whether you take sushi, eat teppan-yaki, or go with a selection from their grill, your senses will be delighted. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My 32nd birthday a meal out with my girlfriends reservation for 8p.m
8:00-seated right away
server passes us makes eye contact but never manages to come to our table
8:30 server finally manages to come over takes our drink order
8:45- Manager brings our drinks we attempt to give him our order states abruptly server will be back and he leaves
9:00-2 gentlemen arrive at the teppenyaki table server is over immediatly to take their drink order.
9:05- another couple arive at the teppenyaki table server is again over immediatly to take their drink order (by the way she has not taken our meal order as yet)
9:10- all other parties are served their drinks- server takes meal order starting with the white couple and the 2 white gentlemen then finally our party. we give our order and ask to speak with a manager as it is now 9:10 and we have been here for over an hour.
9:15-server comes back with salads but no manager- server proceeds to tell our party that they cannot serve the teppenyaki table until it is full. We ask the other parties at the table if they had resevervations of which they state no. Again we ask the server for the manager.
9:20-the chef comes out with ingredients to prepare all 8 meals we advise him not to proceed with our order as we are waiting to speak with the manager
9:30- the manager has still not arrived. So we leave this establishment.
I feel that I should mention my party consisted of 4 black women and the other parties were caucasions. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone ever
