The server was great! We were seated immediately, given a choice of where we wanted to sit, and he was very knowledgable and understanding of my dietary restrictions. They were constantly filling our water glasses, the food was great and came very quickly, but not too quickly. However, we were in a hurry and although we told the server we didn't want dessert, he brought it to us anyways (free of charge). I appreciated his actions, it's just that we had to go, and also my boyfriend cannot eat a lot of sugar (migraines). I also was not able to eat the dessert, so that is a heads up to any vegans. I don't know if Diana Downtown offers any vegan desserts, but I honestly didn't look at the dessert menu either.

Wow, I can't believe that anyone could rate this...

Wow, I can't believe that anyone could rate this restaurant poorly. I've never, and I mean NEVER had a better meal. The salad is always so fresh, and the chicken vindaloo is truly a heavenly treat with just the right spicy heat and hearty chunks of chicken cooked to perfection. We've been to every Indian restaurant in this region - and many in Toronto and across Canada. I can honestly say the food at Diana's is the best I've ever had. You would think living 45 minutes away would be an issue, but we rarely let a week go by without a visit to Diana Downtown. I found it rather amusing to see a couple of reviewers here complaining about the service at Diana's. In all of the time we've been going there, we've never once had an incident where the wrong meal was delivered. I'm always pleasantly surprised at how gracious and attentive the servers are, even when the place is packed. Oh - and while you're drinking in the new, classier look of Diana's - take a moment to enjoy the music. It's hard to put into words but I'll describe it as a fabulous, eclectic mix of creativity from around the world. Hmmm, I never thought about it but that's just like the menu! Final thoughts: Give Diana Downtown a try. I'm quite sure you'll understand why it's become one of Guelph's most popular restaurants, especially with people who know good food when they see it. Oh, and if you're still not convinced about the food at Diana Downtown, check out the food area at Guelph's annual Hillside Festival. You'll see by the unending lineup at the Diana's booth why I'm not just making this stuff up. Gotta go...time for some vindaloo leftovers! Mmmmmmmmmm...

The food and service was amazing !! We were served by a bilingual waiter. That was great! He was very attentive, and always check on our table to see if we need it anything. He recommended us a great dinner, we loved the food and the chicken had the perfect cooking. I absolutely recommend this restaurant !
