Best Chicken Shawarma and Falafel! (Finally redecorating)
My favourite place downtown!
We are regulars to T & T and their Chicken Shawarma is the BEST we've had anywhere (we've tried many in Toronto and other cities).
It's extremely tender and is prepared slightly differently than at most shawarma places, but in a good way.
I also like the new paintings and decorating they've done. It makes the whole experience much nicer.
The butter chicken and chicken tikka are amazing as well.
The chickpeas are great, but I love the meat!
You get VERY LARGE PORTIONS as well!
I would recommend you try it
BUT DON'T ASK FOR SPICY! THEY WILL MAKE IT REALLY SPICY!
The food was alright but not worth the poor service. They get offended if you order food for other people and the overall attitude of the staff is unpleasant. If the store is busy when you order you'll be lucky to get what you paid for.
The chicken shwarma is absolutely outstanding - very unique, and they definitely don't skimp on the meat. Very friendly people! A regular staple for us.
This is the best falafel you will ever find. The ingredients are fresh and full of flavour, while the owners are friendly and appreciative. I go at least once a week and could eat it more!
Not only did I get a great meal, I also got advice on nutricion and values for when in comes to serving food.
The food is served with love and care and comes from the heart. The lady told me she serves the same food she would serve her children and she stands behind the quality and freshness of her products.

It took me a bit to get over the name and fast food appearance of this place, and I am so glad that I did! The chicken shawarma was amazing! I will be back for more. Looks can be deceiving!
Tried this place on the recommendation of a friend - really good shawarma. Hot, crispy, and lots of chicken. Really worth the money and very tasty. Friendly service
I live downtown and I've been to Tangy and Tasty at dinner time and late at night. The people are definitely some of the nicest people downtown and I haven't found a menu item I don't like . The shawarma is delicious but do try some of their other items -- you can probably get some samples if you ask!
When this restaurant first opened their chicken shawarma sandwich, butter chicken and yogurt drink was good.
I was recently there again (Sept '10) and ordered butter chicken - this was completely different than the first time. I have had butter chicken in many restaurants and what was served to me was not that -- it was some rendition that was inedible! So disapointing, they clearly don't care any more. I will never eat there again.
