I've been here twice already. I ordered the Wimpy's combo (hamburger) and the Chicken BLT sandwich.
Great portion for the price. The hamburger was decent, juicy and fresh off the grill. Fries weren't that great. They tasted stale and very "saw dusty". Their Chicken BLT was terrible. the chicken was dry and tasteless. The bacon that was in my sandwich were overcooked. It had a "paper" texture to it. It took some manpower to actually chew this sandwich down.
I might come back in the future since it's on the way home for me from work but it's definitely not the greatest.
Had burger combo, thinking that a place called Wimpy's would do that perfectly. I should have taken a clue from the menu that advertised "McCain French Fries". Why would you be pushing the brand of FROZEN fries you have? The burger was tasteless and wooden. The fries were mediocre. The air smelled of fried meat. The background music was a local radio station playing Christmas music, not 50's. The waitress was very efficient but constantly on the run. The $11 burger combo was worth about $5. I tipped the waitress extra, though.
Homefries weren't. Frozen dollar chips are not homefries.
Coffee was bad. I was offered a refill seven times, however.
Bread was stale.

we usually go there for breaky. we enjoy the food. also each waitress we have had has been courtious. we can drink all the coofee we want. and the chef is very friendly. we have been going for years. we will always go back.
They have a really good club and BLT...But I guess it's not very hard to mess that up. The gravy is yummy. Milkshakes are awesome. The Wimpy's Burger is Beautiful. :D The portions are big, and not too expensive. I love this place. Oh and the decor will keep you interested...and busy each and every time you are ther. I love the atmosphere.

First of all, it looks very cool on the outside of the diner, once you get in it is a little cramped, and there is little privacy to enjoy your meal. We were seated at a booth, which was better. The food took an average amount of time to arrive, we were disappointed with the size of the milkshake for the price...the food was mediocre at best. I decided to review my experience here a few months after actually visiting, but I still remember feeling disappointed and glad to leave with the knowledge that I would not have to waste my time and money again on that, because I try not to make the same mistake twice.

I got the Wimpy's famous burger with cheddar (real cheddar cheese), 3 strips of good bacon, saut?ed mushrooms and onions. It was the best hamburger I have ever had. THE BEST! No hamburger comes close, the beef was just the way I like it and the bun was great.
Plus, I really liked the atmosphere. I was always interested to try it just based on the Popeye character. Sold!

We go all the time for breakfast and lunch. On this occasion we brought a disabled and developmentally delayed child with us. They treated he and ourselves like family. The food is always great!

Had high hopes...but was really dissapointed. I thought the hamburger meat didnt taste quite right...and did not like the "yellow bread bun" that they chose to use. First and last time I go here again.
We were extremely disappointed with our experience. The waitress demonstrated a lack of interest in meeting the needs of her customers and made numerous mistakes with our order. We ordered a coke and she brought us diet coke, which contains aspartame and which we can't drink. We ordered a hot beef on brown, it came on white. When we asked again to have it on brown the cook made rude and insulting comments loud enough for us to hear about our wish to have it on brown. Then he said that we could wait because he didn't feel like doing it. We had ordered onion rings with our meal and they were never delivered to us. When we attempted to speak with him about it he insulted us. We will never go back there again after that experience. Go to the one in Guelph - at least there you will be treated with respect.
