The Delmar is a great lil old fashioned breakfast place. The bottomless cup of coffee, in my opinion, is the best in town. If you visit on the weekends, morning - thru about 1:00ish, be prepared to wait. It's always busy busy busy, which is always a good indicator.

I'm split down the middle with this place. I've been four times. Twice it was great, twice it was not so great, so I've given average scores, and I will go here once more to make a final decision.
The good times, I got my food fast, it was tasty, and service was about average. I always order a Western Omelette. The not so good times, I waited upwards of 40 minutes to get my food. One time the place was so busy that it was completely full, but there were only 2 or 3 servers. They were so busy that things were being lost track of, food was mixed up, and overall it was not pretty. But when I did get my food it was good.
Place is clean, but non-descript. Typical diner place with booths and stools at the bar. I'll have to revisit.
Gus' Best Deal, 2 Eggs, Home Fries, w. ham, bacon or sausage, toast and coffee is the best deal on breakfast in town. Consistent quality, fast service. I eat there regularly and have only rarely found any deviation in service standard or in food.

All three burgers were under-cooked, the burger was basically raw. The waitress did not return until we were finished. She did offer a replacement but by them, everyone else was done. This is the second time that we have had poor meals and poor service. The time before I order the liver special and soup. Both arrived at exactly the same time. Poor planning, pathetic service and bad food.
Returned to London over the holidays from Alberta. It was nice to go out to the places we used to hang out including the Delmar where we ate regularly. Served by the wonderful Debbie who was friendly and excellent at her job. Hugs to you Deb :) thx alot! *Mark from Alberta*

i finally got a glass of water and my pop placed my order and waited...and waited...i could see my food in the window,i should have grabbed it myself!
maybe then it would have been hot!
Excellent food and service. Just have to make sure the owner is not sneezing in his hands before making the food. But most of the time from what I can see he no longer makes the food that much anymore.
The food in this restaurant no matter what you order is excellent...you will never leave feeling hungry...the staff at this establishment are excellent...the waitresses are really friendly and accomodating and are very attentive...always greet you with a smile...the owners as well are really great people i recommend this diner highly its been there approximately 53 years and has lots of regulars
Delmar is agreat little breakfast joint on the East side. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. But the service can be hit or miss mainly because it can be so busy and you can get lost in the shuffle.
