Okay, two of us ordered 3 spider rolls, and one order of deep fried soft shelled crab for takeout. Upon opening the sushi we noticed there was imitation crab rolled into the roll with the soft shelled crab. On further inspection we noticed their was a general lack of soft shelled crab between the three rolls. The deep fried order was also about half of what we would expect from any other sushi place. They also over charged us for the order. Based on what he recieved from our take out order we would never go back.
My friend works at the place so he introduced me to this restaurant. According to him the sashimi is fresh and clean comparing to some other sushi buffets alond dundas. I visit this place regularly throughout the year so pretty much tried everything. food is great. Come at the lunch time though. Good deals only 15 dollars. Service um I would say average.
I had my reservations about dining here as it's been at least 2 years since I've been to this Momiji location. However, my usual sushi places were closed on Labour Day, they had Lunch Specials goin' on, so why not?
I ordered Sushi Bento (4 nigiri, 6 spicy salmon, 4 tempura) which was $10.50. My bf had Sushi Combo (6 cali, 7 nigiri), $11.50. And we added the Alaska Roll - $7.95 - we didn't think that we'd have enough food.
Both Lunch Specials were AMAZING value, including miso soup + salad. So we didn't need the Alaska Roll. Fish was pretty fresh, no pieces fell apart, detailed presentation, good service - having our tea refilled without asking!
I have never been here for Dinner, but Lunch Specials are until 3:30pm and GREAT VALUE. So if you're in the Clarkson area, check this place out!
Living in the neighbourhood, we often eat at this restaurant. 50% dining in, 50% take out. Dining in is a great experience - modern, contemporary decor, comfortable, nice wait staff. DON'T EVER GET TAKE OUT THOUGH! We always wait a minimum of 45min on a Friday or Saturday night. Yes, they're busy. And understandably so. Clearly, they serve their dining customers before their take out customers (which I don't think is really all that fair). Whether it's dining in or take out, the food is fan-freaking-tastic!
I called to place my first take-out order from momijis, I was told 20 mins the order would be ready. I arriveed 25 mins after I placed the order for pick up, I was told it was going to take another 20 mins. I asked if my take-out was even placed, my reply was yes, but my order was going to take another 20 mins. I told then l'm not waiting another 20 mins when my order should have been ready as I was told it would be, apparently my order was not even started. I have never experience this before, the only thing I was told was "sorry another 20mins" so I pretty much stormed out.

We were looking forward to our meal based on good reviews on this site and having passed the location a couple times. Upon first entering, we were charmed by the intimate and cozy interior. Service was friendly, altho a bit slow, but understandable, only one girl serving the whole place.
The miso soup tasted like salted water, the salad wilted with a watery, flavourless dressing. We ordered the kalbi and love bridge B. The kalbi was average, we were disappointed with the size of the dish (about 3 la-style short ribs), considering it cost $18.50 with no banchan offered either. The love bridge was unfortunately not the greatest experience. Altho the portion of the fish offered was good, it was not fresh and tasted like it came out recently from the freezer. The sushi rice in both the rolls and nigiri was mushy and cold. The deep-fried crab in the spider roll was chewy and felt like it had been sitting out all day, it lacked the light crispiness normally associated with this dish. We were thoroughly disappointed and decided not to return again.

the atmospher of this restaurant was amazing, the food was Excellent!! chirashi shushi(sliced of sashimi on a bed of sushi rice) is one of my favorite dish and sashimi was very fresh probably the best sashimi i ever had in my life!! the plating was very beautiful. the sushi men went out side when it was rainig and got a beatiful flower to decorate the dish. other food was amzing too and service was excellent!! i will visit there again!!

Food quality could have been better. The tempura was very oily (it was shining in the light), I'm guessing they did not fry it at a hot enough temperature. Rice portions were very small. The server seemed very disoriented the entire time we were there and forgot simple things like bringing us the bill and following up on our change (she was very friendly though). The place is clean and nicely decorated with ambient lighting. I might come back another day.
Everything was fantastic. Super fresh ingredients. I could see the chef peeling some avocados for our maki.
The chef sent over complimentary hand rolls as well.
Highly recommended.

Hooray! Three cheers for Mojima! Everything was excellent! I loved the food, and the service was great. We were there for near three hours, and ate almost every sushi item on the menu. We are going again tomorrow!
Excellent food, great quality, usually good service, but when it's busy, can be slow.
Nice, simple decor. Great to have a private booth.
Have been there plenty of times and will return many more times.
