My girlfriend and I went up to tobermory ontario a few weeks ago. I have never had such amazing customer service in my entire life. Our server was super kind, funny and made lots of jokes to keep us entertained through our meal. The food was fast to arrive, fresh, and tasted delicious the light the entire dish, I highly recommend eating here on any visit to tobermory, and I hope you get the same server as us his name was James :)

Atmosphere, fabulous service and above all the FOOD, menu is extensive and always fresh and tasty. Great for lunch or dinner. Parking is even good. Try it and you will return

A favorite spot, warm inviting. Fireplace, nick nacks to look at, great food, great people, highly recommend. Parking can be tricky at times.

Amazing find!

Heard so many good things about this pub we had to try it. Went today with another couple and we were delighted with the place. It's a cosy pub atmosphere with attentive wait staff, NO TV's blaring so we could actually have a conversation - what a find! The place was full of retirees (so are we) who seemed to be regulars. Two orders of halibut and fresh cut fries with coleslaw, fresh lemon and so-so tartar sauce. The fish and fries were amazing. One order of medium wings - really big wings with celery and carrot sticks and blue cheese dressing - very good. One order of coconut shrimp - fresh, hot and delicious. Plates were heated (what a treat!) and a good selection of draft beer. We loved it and will be back again and again!

Absolutely Awesome

This restaurant/pub has been under new ownership for some time. All prior post were under the old owners who ran the place down. Now it is vibrant, the food always hot and exceptional good. Good idea to book, its that good and popular

I found the food to be mediocre. There was nothing special about the the food. The place was busy for a Sunday brunch, but it appeared there were regulars. Quite disappointed.

Disappointed with the food and service

We have tried to give the quaint little place a few shots at being our local eatery, but three strikes and they're out. The most recent visit we ordered wings (usual pub fare- ok) and a spinach salad which had rotting leaves and scarce toppings. The service made us feel as though we were not part of the crowd that they want to welcome. Perhaps it should be a private club rather than a public restaurant. Our server grabbed our orders, departing as the words were still in the air, then spent most of the evening chatting with folks at another table. On the plus side, the washroom was fit for the Admiral Himself!

They have a nice selection of beers. Grub is standard pub fair that is reasonably priced. Can be quite busy on Fri/Sat night, but service is always quick and polite.

Love this place! this is our new favourite restaurant. Realy authantic english food and atmosphere! Yes you have a long wait sometimes, but it's well worth it! Alone or with kids, it's a lot of fun!

well i had heard such great things in the past but i never have been before.this is my new favorite resteraunt in newmarket.great food,great service and the new owners must really know what they are doing.keep up the good work!we will be back!!!

Wow whata disappointment, the owners have changed...

Wow whata disappointment, the owners have changed again and wow has it gone down hill. The food was disgraceful and the service horrible burnt my hand very badly on a hot plate they brought out which came from an oven, asked for ice which they brought, but never even asked if I was ok, very unattentive, a true disappoinment from the wonderful service and food the original owners had established.

Great wings! Always ask for extra saucy, always get extra saucy. The desserts are a total rip-off and the rest of the menu is kinda expensive for what you get, but the wings on mondays is a great deal! If you go mondays its busy after 5, so expect a bit of a wait. Service friendly. Nice decor. Great place, we go all the time!

Beer was good, burgers were awefull.... I had never tasted such a weird meat, it clearly wasn't fresh ground beef, its texture was just not normal, like rubber or someting... The cesar salad had probably been waiting at the pass for like 2 hours since lettuce had lost all its crispy side, too much vinaigrette and no real bacon and no cheese. Service was really great, as always, but I'll NEVER eat their again.

This place has a great atmosphere. Traditional style pub, with friendly servers and management. The food was great with perfect portion sizes. There was probobly 20 different beers on tap! Washrooms were very clean. It's situated right on a the water, with plenty of ducks. I can't say enough good things!

this is a great litle english style pub!! the food is wonderful and Tap selection (beer) is amazing! many imported beers. if you like your pints, you'll love this resturant!! Our server ryan was very knowledgable!!! I would definatly return

The fish and chips were not at all authentic 'English style' the batter was way too thick and the fries looked like frozen fries instead of 'chips' The Kidney pie was freezer burnt and the wings were dry. The draft was great! It was cold and the atmosphere is good as long as there are lots of peeople there so there is background noise. They dont play music or have Tv's for some reason? They should though it might add to the environment alot. It is cozy there though. I like the pond they have next to it. If you get a window seat when it snowing ir raining its probably really nice to look at. I would go again for drinks but definatly NOT food.

This *was* THE place for genuine fish and chips but clearly the old management took the recipe with them when they left. Too bad. The meals my friends had were reported to be delicious although the wings were somewhat dry. Still a brilliant atmosphere and do me a favour and don't ever stop pouring the Tennants!?
