Best udon in the city--anywhere, Japanese or Korean. Matched only by the service--attentive, intelligent and pleasant. We originally tried Tokyo Grill 2 to make reservations for a birthday for our 94 year old Japanese auntie--they simply refused, and not very pleasantly either. My Favorite Place !

Loved food. We ordered the Udon, Sushi&sashimi dishes and the Fire Viking Roll, sushi pizza and the Sapporo Roll!!!! One of my friends is Japanese and she complimented the udon's tastes and the quality of the sushi and sashimi. The fire viking was so cool - lit by live fire! sushi pizza was fun and tastes really good. the sapporo roll is very luxurious with lobster and other fish. Always come back here. Always recommend this place! Not to mention the great value. They give lots of free sides like soup, salad, beans, squid/octopus, tea and green tea icecream for dessert !

Most of the dishes we ordered were seasoned *WITH KETCHUP*. Thank you; I can do that at home !! And "6-pc fried scallops" were 6 pieces of fried half-scallops. So - 3 scallops. COVERED IN KETCHUP "Dragon roll" dinner was a roll made of mishmash of different fishes (well, salmon and eel).

Awesome !

Went here a while ago with someone else. We ordered one of the combos which came with some California rolls, dynamite roll and some others. At a price of $30 something dollars it was quite good and the quality was excellent. The waiters were friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Definitely would recommend and I will be going back there again and again.

my friend wanted to go to this place. i order the chicken and tempura bento. the chicken, didnt look or taste anything like chicken. the texture was rubbery and it tasted very off. very small portions of everything, especially for the price of around $13. i got a tempura onion, which i thought was gross. i didnt even touch it. i got a very small amount of bean sprouts, and only 2 pieces of the cali rolls(i think) those where tempura and fried. id consider coming back here again, but i've never get the bento box or ever recommend it. the atmosphere was clean and the service was friendly. got green tea ice cream at the end of it all. was also given green tea, soup and salad, which was complimentary. the seats are oh so very uncomfortable. we didnt sit in the booth, but along the wall.. pretty small table..

The very best sushi! The rice was just at the right tempureture, and texture; fish is fresh fresh! great flavor! the soy sauce wasn't over powering at all! Service was excellent! This would be my sushi place from now on.

Best suchi in Toronto, Amazing service, and delicious fish. for 18$ + tax I got two small appetizers, a small salad, a miso, and 16 pieces of sashimi, they offered a small icecream at the end. Hmmm,

ONE OF THE BEST IN TORONTO

I have eaten sushi all over Toronto and recently moved to North York . Sapporo is a truly authentic Japenese (with real Japanese chefs) restaurant with amazing food for VERY reasonable prices. The sushi is fresh, the wakame salad is authentic (not artificial green goo) and the wait staff is polite. I love love love this place - make sure to GO

My favourite neighbourhood sushi place!

I visit Sapporo sushi at least every 2 weeks for take-out lunch, although I occasionally sit in. The lunch specials are fresh and their value can't be beat! Here's what you get for the $6.95 sushi lunch: salad, miso soup, 4 pieces of sushi, 6 California rolls. If you eat in, you get a bunch of little appetizers like Edamamme as well. It's a favourite restaurant of mine - and that of the neighbours on my street. Service is really friendly. The waitress, Kim is the best. Always greets me with a smile and calls me by name. Great place!!!

Fast Lunch Service from a Friendly Staff

The lunch specials are very affordale, ranging from $6.99 to $15.99, with great value. There are many complimentary items served, like tea, salad, edameme beans, miso soup, and added side dishes like clear noodles or tofu or curried potatoes on the side. wonderful presentation, and the staff make sure to welcome you as you come and go. Lunch always arrives within 10 minutes of ordering. highly recomended.

Very fresh fish, and service is quick and attentive. Its in a great location with many other sushi restaurants competing for your business yet it still stands out and I only go to this sushi restaurant on yonge st.

Food was great. The beef was excellent as was the sashimi. Very fresh and great quality. The tempura was done just right. The food came so fast which was great as I had to get back to work. They bring you complimentary edamame and fried tofu with your meal. They bring you an orange to share with your bill. This is the best Japanese restaurant on Yonge between Sheppard and Finch. I have tried most of them and 2 thumbs way up for Sapporo. The 2 waitresses very friendly and I will definitely make this a regular place to visit.

A coworker spread the news, and now everyone at head office is a regular. Instead of going to the place next door, I'll drive 40 min from home for dinner. Fresh delicious food, friendly service and great prices. It's a small restaurant with a few private booths and some tables but somehow it doesn't feel like you're crowded. When you walk in, everyone greets you. Service is quick, with lots of little extras--tea of course, but also edamame, soup and ice cream (dinner) or an orange (lunch) for dessert--included with the price. When you leave, everyone says goodbye. Pretty good street parking all around that area. For accessiblity, there's a small step (3inches?) at the front door, and since it is small, the aisles might be tricky if you use a wheelchair. Washrooms are down a long flight of narrow stairs, so obviously not accessible.
