I live in Stratford and have been going to Features for years. The staff are amazing , the food is good as is the price. I usually go when I can afford it with a friend for breakfast i have introduced many of my friends to this place and continue to recommend it to others.Their specialty is breakfast and it is the best.

Cleaning required

I visited Features Sunday morning just after they opened. The food, service and price were great. The silverware I was given was dirty. I asked my server for clean silverware, she apologized and brought me clean ones. I started looking around and noticed that the kitchen floor looked like it had never been swept let alone washed. The ceiling was fuzzy especially over the kitchen area, and I'm sure the ventilation system is not supposed to be black. I would gladly pay a dollar or two more for my meal if you would clean the restaurant every day. I work in the food production industry and know how important cleaning is. You are playing with fire. I will be back, and if things have been cleaned up great, if not I will leave and not be back.

Awesomeness

I have never been disappointed here yet! Best place for breakfast in town for the price. Great service (esp if you get Dan, hes funny). Was a bit slow getting food this time, but was really busy so was ok. Just wish there was more space!

Everytime good food

My wife and I love eating here. I always make changes with my meal and ask for crispy bacon they jokingly say no and then we laugh. Sometimes a short wait but always worth it. and the staff is pretty good for getting the food out. Lots of great stuff on the menu other than just eggs and potatos.

Not what was expected

Went here on our honeymoon, as were told all around town , Features is THE PLACE for breakfast. Kinda hard to screw up breakfast. They didnt but it didnt blow us away. Sausage was a lil overcooked, over easy eggs were over easy but not that runny inside- sat on grill or plate too long? The server was a little scattered though, place wasnt over busy as it was a weekday and at 10 am, but had to be asked 5x for a glass of water for my wife to take her meds. Nothing special, actually had better breakfast next day downtown at the Fire Grill. Also we were in before 10 (9:45) when breakfst special stops (its couple bucks cheaper before 10) but finished after 10 am. When recieving bill i was charged full price for special. Asked why and was told it cuz it was rung in AFTER 10. Not happy.

Features is great for breakfast

Features serves a wonderful large breakfast at a very reasonable price. The waiters are a lot of fun and the place bustles wth townies. Try it, you'll like it. And, no, this is not the manager's mother speaking!

The most overrated experience in Stratford. Save yourself the line time and go to joe's instead. The food is bland and so is the ambiance. The only value is the rudely entertaining waiters.

Good food, good service

We had a great breakfast, and the service was timely and courteous. We saw someone who ordered the Paul Bunion! The meal is served on a cookie sheet! It's enough to feed an entire table!

Bad service when not busy

Went in very early on a Saturday morning. Saw that there were only 4 tables occupied so we figured we would be in and out of there within half an hour to 45 minutes at least. Nope! nearly an hour and a half. Waiter didn't ask for our drink order for 15 minutes. Other people sat down after us, had their drink order taken about 2 minutes after they sat down. Drinks arrive, and mine had lipstick stains all over it. One of the coffee mugs were cracked down the side and split open to leak coffee everywhere. No one apologized for it either. Food order was slightly slow to arrive. If you want a quick in-and-out breakfast if you're heading somewhere early, don't come here. Best to go to features when it's busy because then they're running around like chickens with their heads cut off serving people as fast as possible to rotate tables.

A Safe Bet

Good, friendly service. Clean, casual atmosphere with good servings of food for a reasonable price. The food isn't creative but it is definitely a safe bet for a hearty breakfast in town.

This place has a lot of 4 & 5 star ratings for its food - but be aware: this is basic, greasy-spoon, diner food - which has its place but is not fine dining. And I agree with another poster, their hollandaise sauce is nothing like real hollandaise - in fact it's not even as good as hollandaise from a packet (we thought they had left it off our eggs, it was so flavourless). Service is good and freindly.

I love features. They serve the best breakfast I have ever had. It is always busy there, but you always get your meal on-time. The staff are always nice and sometimes funny. I usually always order the wraps, as they are my favorite there. I go there as often as I can!

The place for Breakfast in Stratford

Saturdays and Sundays can draw quite a crowd and the cramped entry can back up the line out on to the side walk. The best tables are at the very front at the window or at the very back in the small dining area. More on the wait staff. They are quite good and very effective. Most enjoyable is they all have a continuous injection of humour while they are waiting on you and surroundling tables. We have never felt rushed but service is brisk in a good way....and as noted the wait staff is enjoyable and seem to enjoy their jobs. Breakfast menu has the usual on it....and then some. Eggs Benedict are served various ways but all full orders are made with 4...yes 4 eggs. A good deal for the price. The typical english muffin is replaced with french toast underneath and it works. The Paul Bunnian is a huge "tray" of breakfast favourites, eggs, bacon, french toast, pancakes, potatoes all on opne plate. I have no idea how any sane person could get through it...but guys (never seen a gal order it)..do. All and all we have not been disapointed in either service or food. In fact I would say it has the best breakfast in the city.

After three visits: good ambience and service, excellent food; small tables, a bit crowded, but great value.

We all ordered the paul bunyan, OH MAN LOTS OF FOOD!! soo good, the waiter was abit weird, and funy but great, the service was great and fast. we had to stand in a line up for about 10 mins but it was worth the wait, I love this place. When ever I feel like going out for breaky, i'll go here first.

We eat breakfast here every year when we go to Stratford for our Anniversary Weekend. Always lineups out the door on Sunday morning, but you get seated fast. The service is friendly, and you get lots of great food at a great price.

Good food and service (even though there were line-ups outside the door!) First time we've been there and we noticed the volume of customers waiting to get in while other places down the street were empty. It all makes sense now!
