Not the best choice during Taste of the Danforth

Our timing was bad, I will admit. We were down for Taste of the Danforth, and we wanted somewhere to sit and eat in the shade. We were seating way in the back, but there was a great breeze. Our waitress was new, to the country and the profession. She was trying hard, but our salads took a while, and our mains (once they figured out where they were supposed to go) arrived right on top of the salad The tried to give us our tzatziki appetizer after we were half way through our main, and seemed miffed when we cancelled that part of our order. The food was, again, just ok, but being it was their busiest time of year, maybe I'm being too harsh. And maybe it's just me, but I thought when I order a Gyro it comes on a pita like all the ones I saw on the street.

Just awful

Hubby really wanted to have Friendly Greek for some reason. We hadn't been there for a long time, but we seemed to remember that it was decent enough. Something must have changed. We ordered a lunch special of 1 souvlaki stick with Gyro, potatoes and rice, starting with a Greek salad. The salad was the only high note of the meal. After that it went downhill. The souvlaki was dry. The gyro I only had one bite of and then stopped. The potatoes and rice were swimming in some sort of sauce made of watered down ketchup and lemon juice, with a hint of cinnamon. The tzatziki they give you is miniscule. UN-friendly Greek waiter.

no clue what is happening?

the first time i went here the gyro was great, the most recent time I went - it was terrible. the service was terrible on both occasions. the good thing was - they are open very late like 3am in the morning.

OPA!

Amazing! best Saganaki i've ever had! They had live Greek music for intertainment (amazing singers at that!) Reasonably priced and excited to go back! Very friendly service!

worst souvlaki ever chicken is dry, salad had no dressing, rice was bad id rather eat at jimmy the greek at least their food is fresh and cooked

We took all the brats and grandbrats there after...

We took all the brats and grandbrats there after the Ex last year. the staff were excellent, the kids loved getting there on a streetcar and the subway, they oohed over the flaming cheese, and it was a lovely experience. The little guys learned a lot, everything we ate was tasty and healthy - and grandpa paid! It was part of a perfect day.

the Mcdonalds of greek food. The souvlaki tasted dry as if it were microwaved before it got to me. The food was ready in a matter of minutes...i thought you had to cook the souvlaki before you cooked it. The food was just awful. Very overrated. I would definently reccomend other restaurants on the danforth instead of this one!!!!
