Never had such a great night out at a pub!

Went out with some friends for casual dinner and drinks, and to be honest this place blew my mind. The food was beyond any food I have EVER had at a pub before. It was almost upscale, if you know what I mean. Just absolutely delicious. But the best part was actually the service. Not only was it timely and friendly, but it was also a performance. The guy that was serving me had our table laughing hysterically everytime he came over, and the girl he was working with (may have been the owner) was extremely polite and charming. I feel like there should have been cover at the door for that kind of service. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant!

YUMMY.....

I have always enjoyed myself at the nick from the witty and charming waitstaff to the delicious upscale pub fare...the owner is most cordial and honest with a certain charm that is rubbed off on all her staff and clientelle..I am happy to be one of their loved regulars!!!!!

Great venue, bad service

I hosted a party for 30+ people at the Old Nick on a Saturday night. We only had drinks and appetizer platters...so I can't comment much on the food quality (nachos were tasty though). I can however comment on the service (or lack thereof) -- the owner was downright rude to a number of the guest (people were complaining about her the next day) and was generally an unpleasant person to deal with throughout the night. It is a nice venue, and I wish I could recommend this spot to others, but I wouldn't risk going there due to the terrible service we were subject to.

I went to the Old Nick for lunch with some...

I went to the Old Nick for lunch with some co-workers. We were so rudely treated by the bar owner that I felt we should have just walked out and regret staying for lunch. The owner/cook ruined our meal! Once we sat down he said that we couldn't order pasta because he was very busy during the lunch hour, but we were the only guests in the entire restaurant minus two other people. When one of my coworkers, who missed what he had said at the beginning inquired about the pastas, he barked at her and went on a rampage about listening. We were the customers and he treated us like dirt. We were all shocked and had the MOST unpleasant meal. I will never go back there because of how rude he was. The food was good, but there's more than just food to a good dining experience.

I was plesantly surprised with the place, from...

I was plesantly surprised with the place, from the moment I stepped in. Not your typical "pub" fare" menu. It a variety of choices, and the portions were big. The Staff were courteous, efficient, and welcoming. It was clean, with nice wood floors, and polished wooden bar. It was a happy atmosphere all round. The patio was a nice little retreat at the back, covered with vines, and kind of secluded. Very nice, and I would definitely recommend.

This place is a hidden treasure.. it was one of THE most delicious, brunches ever, and all organic to boot. The staff was friendly, and courteous, and the meal portions were phenomenal. The food was tasty, not greasy, and ALL organic. It was a delight, and definitely worth another trip!
