If packed tables are any indication, Riverdale Perk Café, with its upscale coffee, homemade treats, creative menu and down-home feel, has struck a chord with neighbourhood residents.

Since taking over Riverdale Perk Café in 2004, owner Danielle Quayle has focused her energy on creating a gathering spot that caters to refined local palates. “Things have changed, our patrons used to be people from the neighbourhood. Now, we tend to see people who come from all over the city. It’s growing into a destination point,” she says.
