I wanted to come back and post a review as I visited Mediterraneo for my birthday based on the reviews I found here. First and foremost, our overall experience was fabulous. We shared a Saganaki to start, and two of us commented on how perfect the pita served with it was toasted. Our mains took slightly long to arrive, but arrived at the same time when they did. The portions are more than generous. I just stared in awe for a bit. This is a place where no chef could justifiably be insulted if you didn't clean your plate. Most mains come with three sides: roasted potato, seasoned rice and some sort of vegetable. One could easily be dropped without making the portions unreasonable. But they are all good! I'm not a potato lover, but those are the best potatoes I've ever had. They have a way of infusing them with flavour, and they were perfectly cooked as well. Throughout the mains, the flavour seemed perfect. A couple of things (the pork souvlaki and a few of the lamb chops) were marginally overcooked, but again, the flavour was definitely there. The tsatsiki was also worth mentioning. It seemed home-made and I don't know, maybe it was that the dill tasted really fresh, but I liked it better than the typical same-old tsatsiki I've experienced in restaurants. Dessert was a shared Mango and berry cheesecake, and was perfect. Service was great (though the restaurant was fairly quiet at the time); I can't remember our server's name but she was both personable and personal. We were really nitpicking, because this was really the first time we've read a bunch of reviews before going. We were in a judgemental state of mind. And yet we could still barely find any faults with the restaurant.

I absolutely love this restaurant. They always...

I absolutely love this restaurant. They always give large portions (I always end up bringing left overs home). Great atmosphere and very romantic for couples (dim lighting and candles). The best moussaka I have ever had was from this restaurant. It's difficult now to order anything else when I go. I'm not sure if the chef is the owner, but he is always around and always says thank you as we leave the restaurant. Very friendly, very nice, I definitely recommend this one!!

This place is outstanding. I read reviews here...

This place is outstanding. I read reviews here from several years ago, but I assure you that they are no longer valid. I've gone three times in the last 6 months and each time the food is divine. I have ordered the vegetarian moussaka three times as my main dish and have ordered various appetizers, they were all so delicious. The greek salad that comes with the meal is the best I have eaten in Waterloo and Kitchener, including the time I went to Three Kretans. There's only one Greek restaurant that I've been to that's better however it's in London, Ontario.

Went to this place after reading the reviews...

Went to this place after reading the reviews here. I was not disappointed, the food was amazing. Service was good although my friend and I went to the restaurant in jeans and t-shirts; we did feel uncomfortable as it seemed you needed to be dressed nicer. Other than that it was a great experience, with huge great tasting portions!
