Metro Côte-des-Neiges

Have been buying food here since 2007; I have to say it is the worst of all grocery stores I’ve ever been to. Yesterday, for the third time in six months, I bought a bad chicken; when I got home I pierced the package and the stench of bad chicken hit me. The use by date was the day prior.I ran back for an exchange but cashier—who I had never seen—refused to refund or exchange. They carry very little in terms of comparisons to IGA and other Metros. Not sure why.

Recently I have become concerned about freshness of goods available in this store. Example: within the laast month, July 2022, I have gotten a bag of rotten carrots, obviously packed in plastic while wet. Romaine lettuce that deretiorates the day after perchase because it ie wet. A bag of potatoes where near every potato was rotten, strawberries past their best, and worst of all, salmon that was definitely not fresh but supposedly packed the day of sale. Staff is always courteous and helpful.

Some of the employees are super rude and have a horrible vibe about them. I do my best to avoid them like the plague. They seem to forget that customers are the reason they have a job. Unfortunatelt they are the closest supermarket to my house. Otherwise I would not spend my money in that hole.

I bought fries, chicken wings, vegetable rolls from this store, it is very dry, quite hard to chew and too salty. This is the third time I have bought the freshly made fried foods and every time I have had to put it in the garbage because it cannot be eaten. Very very poor quality food. It is obvious that the chicken is frozen chicken battered, breaded and deep fried - total rubbish! Organic produce is not fresh for the price it charges. Metro try serving the community more responsibly.

J`ai jamais vu des caissiers aussi lents et indolents. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi les patrons engagent des gens aussi peu désireux a travailler.
