Just came back from a most enjoyable dinner at The Globe in Rosemont. Delicious food, charming atmosphere, amazingly friendly service and very reasonable price. This is our second time visiting The Globe and we will most definitely be back!

Another wonderful meal at The Globe

I have visited this restaurant a number of times for lunch and have never been disappointed. Today was no exception. Delicious cream of asparagus soup followed by crab cakes, and mixed green salad and creamy (but not too mayonnaise-y) potato salad. My friend took advantage of the soup-salad-sandwich special and enjoyed an incredible roast beef on whole wheat, the same soup and salad as myself, and a side order of frites with mayo. We were too full for dessert but the ladies at the next table appeared to be thoroughly enjoying strawberry shortcake with freshly picked Ontario strawberries. Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere cozy and comfortable.

Always a delicious meal at The Globe

I was introduced to The Globe a number of years ago by a dear friend. It is not handy to where I live but is well worth the drive...and I make that drive a number of times per year. I always start with the soup. Every soup on the menu is divine. There is no way to pick a favourite. I'd love to take it home by the bucket! I'm usually there for lunch and have dined on sandwich specials that look as amazing as they taste. Fresh, local ingredients. Wonderful breads. Flavourful chutneys. In the summer, I've also enjoyed cold salmon and trout salad platters that are stunning. The service is always warm and inviting. The staff are attentive but not intrusive. The atmosphere is always friendly and cozy, no matter the season. If you haven't been to The Globe, GO!

Daily Specials written on chalk board are vague, so you have to wait for staff to read you the details of each special. I ran out of water...attentiveness is spotty. Plating is original and/or inconsistent. One plate can look extravagant, another one looks like fancy cafeteria. Food taste and pricing is good for the atmosphere. Reservations highly recommended or be ready for some mild attitude.
