Calgary Caesar salads fit for an emperor

It may be the default choice of the salad world, but the Caesar salad can and does rise above at a number of Calgary restaurants. These Caesars are real crowd pleasers and will wow you with their fresh and sometimes inventive greens, croutons and add-ons.

This San Francisco style pizza parlor has the nerve to serve Caesar salad constructed with kale. The bold move is a delicious one, and this leafy side dish is served with boiled egg, crisped prosciutto, a dusting of pecorino romano and toasted panko crumbs.

This better Caesar is a true cut above (like, 90 storeys above) and is served with a high and mighty city view. Tender red and green baby romaine is tumbled with herbed croutons and the restaurant’s own bacon bits and dressing.

The quintessential Mexican meal, tacos are also a relatively scarce commodity in Calgary. However, we’ve done some digging and unearthed the select few restaurants that make truly marvelous versions of these hand-held snacks.
The city’s summer season features a delicious dance card of culinary festivals and events. Many, such as Stampede-time pancake breakfasts, are easy to access the day of, but the various tasting and tippling shindigs listed here can fill up quickly, so purchasing tickets sooner than later for these foodie festivities is recommended.
